Actually he has a good point.
As pop culture fragments amidst the social media fog, it is getting harder and harder to find stuff that most people are likely to know and recognize. Don’t believe me? Ask a Millenial to give you five catch phrases, and then tell me what they mean.
Twitter is just having a cow because Sajak is more Conservative than most celebrities.

Sajak is making a good observation between the lines.
I’m not sure who is claimed to be upset.
Is it the diversity group that don’t know basic phrases that in the past all Americans would have known?
Or more traditionalists who don’t like hearing Sajak say they were trying to accommodate this new cultural ignorance?
It seemed to me the latter from calling them Sajak followers.
It seems Sajak is making a point that we aren’t really One Nation anymore and that it is manifested in his show.

So the folks who have destroyed our common culture are offended someone noticed?

It also reminded me of the classic SNL “Black Jeopardy” sketch.

This right here is the real danger of common core.
The writing samples with questions after are written by hack writers found on Craigslist, etc, and they are insipid touchy feely simplistic pieces. With bad morals. Current, pointless situations.
This is the exact opposite of the trend in homeschooling, which for the last 20 years has been toward using real classic books and passages thereof to learn English Comprehension.
We decivilize like frogs in a lovely tepid bath. It’s getting a little warmer.

That’s right Pat. There is nothing more threatening to the American Culture than your inability to come up with puzzles for Wheel or Fourtune.

Pat is really pretty awesome. He had a short-lived interview/talk show on Sunday night on FNC several years back. It was far too intelligent and long-attention-span for network TV, but it did show Pat’s friendly conservatism. I’m pretty sure he’s also affiliated with Hillsdale College, for some additional conservative bona fides.

Recently someone brought up the Chevy Chase / Richard Prior “word association” interview sketch.

“As we lose our common culture” he said. Seems his point is pretty clear.
