In excerpts from the interview published Monday, Vaughn said he supports the right for people to have a gun in public full stop, not just in your home and that the Second Amendment is not about duck hunting but to resist the supreme power of a corrupt and abusive government:

Thanks for supporting 2A, Vince. Now clean up your act.
Who is Vince Vaughn.
I like his statements, but I have no idea who he is.
Hollyweird actor who some folks like in some instances.
Thanks.

2nd amendment salute to good ol Vince!
Didn’t he get shot in “The Wedding Crashers”?
Was he in The Son of Man from U.N.C.L.E.?...
I’m afraid I must have missed that one.
I’ve seen 26 of the 32 OTHER Jurassic Park movies, though...
LOL!
It was also rated 'R' appropriately. Not every film needs to be family-friendly.
Good for him!
One of my and my husband's favorite actors if only because when we're suckered into watching a "comedy" that's mostly lazy-lame adolescent stoooopid (Legend of Ron Burgundy, Wedding Crashers), Vaughn is its ONE redeeming factor making it not a total waste of time (except for Chris Walken, he's another one who saves a movie from being otherwise a waste of time). As a comedic actor, he's got great timing and funnier than heck; as a BAD GUY ... he's fantastic-scary. Watch Domestic Disturbance sometime.
No WONDER we like Vince Vaughn. Atta boy and God bless, Vince!
A great secret of the 2nd Amendment is that “It is not the justice that we want, but the justice that we need.”
If you start with the axiom that “The people are the law”, and that uniformed police, the courts, and the government are just a convenience to help keep order, doggedly pursue criminals, and incarcerate them if possible, you reach some important conclusions.
1) The police, courts, and government need to be kept under strict rules and discipline, to function appropriately and efficiently. However, the public itself, in its role of law enforcement, is under far fewer constraints.
2) The courts and government may oppose carrying out the death penalty against any criminals, because they just don’t feel like they should. So they either outright refuse to execute even the most heinous, or just limit themselves to a decades long process to execute *just* the most heinous of criminals.
3) Importantly, the people are under no such constraint. Under the appropriate circumstances, which are many, individuals with 2nd Amendment gun liberty can assume all the duties of the police, courts, and government; stopping, trying, judging, and executing ALL VARIETY of dangerous, violent criminals. And their doing so offers the opportunity of no appeals, no mitigation, no connivance of attorneys, and no commutation or pardon by elected officials.
4) The law takes all of this into account, so has safeguards against the frivolous or malicious use of armed self defense. And these safeguards are adequate.
“It is not the justice that we want, but the justice that we need.”
he’s one of those closet conservatives/libertarians out in Hollywood.
he’s often plays the quick-witted, wise-ass, ball buster type of friend in movies. if you know it’s his schtick, it’s pretty funny. i think his off screen persona is a lot like his on screen persona. he was part of a pretty entertaining episode of Dinner For Five a few years ago and he really gave Rory Cochrane “the business”.

he’s done lots of movies, but might be best known for Swingers with Jon Favreau.

Saw it yesterday on TV. What role was he playing?
Half the British actors/actresses in various Hollywood movies are shooting guns, killing people, or just playing armed and dangerous bad guys.
They can either refuse the roles, or have a cup of shut the F*** up.
