Biker attorney seeks to replace judges, demands immediate release of clients

An attorney for two men arrested in the May 17 Twin Peaks shootout between rival bikers says his clients are being held illegally and is seeking to replace all McLennan County judges connected to the case.

Austin attorney Adam Reposa alleges in motions filed Tuesday that the charging documents filed against his clients, and the 168 others jailed in the chaotic melee, are legally insufficient.

He also claims that the $1 million bonds are unreasonably oppressive and that the judge who set them and the judges who, so far, have not reduced them have shown bias and should be recused.

Reposa represents Jimmy Pond and Thomas Paul Landers. He said Pond, a mechanic from Hays County, is the sole supporter of his family, which includes a disabled wife and autistic son.

Besides the recusal motion, Reposa filed an application for writ of habeas corpus, alleging a client is being held illegally and without proper cause, and a motion for emergency release so Pond can go home and take care of his family.

After the shootout, in which nine were killed and 18 wounded, Reposa said officials “commandeered” the Waco Convention Center as a makeshift holding area while they tried to sort out the magnitude of the event.

Thank you. Now, I understand why: 1. They are under a million dollar bond. Being held without bond would probably attract more attention than the cops want. 2. The confiscation and in all probably, the destruction of all means of recording the event. And, should they be releases, you can bet the farm that statements along the line of "I was not mistreated or abused while held prisoner" that the NAZIS had those that were released from concentration camps and detention centers sign. Their statements will probably worded thusly, "Due to the fact that this is an ongoing investigation, any statement I might make could endanger the outcome of said investigation, I will not speak or otherwise make any statement[s]. I understand that I could be criminally prosecuted for any statement I may make"

This was a murder under the cover of law. Or as it used to be called, A Badge Killing.

Until they get it to where it shows the police in a favorable light, if not exonerates them. You will not see a video.

I'm balancing personal experiences against events, and finding the official narrative doesn't hold water. That trips a flag. I'm waiting for some ballistics info, and the release of those who were not members of the Banditios or Cossacks organizations. This was a Coalition of Clubs meeting, not a Banditos event, despite the fact that there were members of the Banditos there.

There were also other bikers who were not members of either group, but were arrested, are being held on ridiculous bail, and have had their property seized.

Other sources have said that there were people arrested who had CCW permits, no priors, etc. Why haven't they been released?

Taken in concert, the appearance is that LEOs on the site have taken control of any and all information sources they can to control the media narrative over the event--including people.

That level of sequestration indicates they want to set the media meme until the news cycle blows over to minimize any forthcoming damage and to possibly give them time to bury "Brady Material" (evidence exonerating the accused).

If I was one of them. I would share that fear. As far as their public statements go, they are saying exactly what the police told them to say, or variations of it.

The police themselves converted me. By their actions and deeds. I went from believing what they said to believing nothing they said. I went from teaching my children that the police were their friends to admonishing my grandchildren to avoid any contact with the police whenever possible. All based upon how they treaded me. And I have violated no laws.

Don’t kid yourself, if the police would shoot these bikers down like dogs, given the opportunity, these same police would shoot you [or me] down like a dog.

” that the NAZIS had those that were released from concentration camps and detention centers sign. “

Speaking of Nazis, have you noticed the SS tattoos and patches the Cossacks are sporting?

“All based upon how they treaded me.”

I don’t get that treatment. But then I don’t hang with thugs.

“This was a murder under the cover of law.”

Do you mean that all the rounds shot were shot by LE, or only the ones that hit someone? Just asking. Trying to picture that scenario.

Oh. Before it was gospel riders. And when you couldn’t back that up you dropped it. Now it is CCW holders.

Others sources ... duh.

Neither do I. To paraphrase what Jesus told the Pharisees, based on your stupidity, you do err.

I do not suppose that it is against the law for them wear the tattoos and patches. I would not do it, but that is them and I am me. They do not bother me, I do not bother them.

"Do you mean that all the rounds shot were shot by LE, or only the ones that hit someone? " Only the ones that killed. The bikers can't shoot straight enough to kill. They can maybe hit a foot or a arm, maybe. Also, I am told that these rough dudes are not strong enough to pitch a weapon onto a roof that even my 11 year-old granddaughter could. He was all excited about the photos of the police using a ladder truck to search the roof.

I found the photo ... the ladder was almost horizontal when extended ABOVE the roof.

“I do not suppose that it is against the law for them wear the tattoos and patches.”

But it does speak to who they are.

“They do not bother me, I do not bother them.”

Are you in a riding club?

Do you pay dues to the local gang via the Confederation of Clubs?

Do you have to have your patches approved by the CoC?

Do you have to inform the CoC before you take a club ride?

Not to mention what this does to the public image of cyclists.

Sure, you may think they don’t bother you but what is the real story?

You obfuscate and set up false strawman arguments all the time here. You are a troll. You create much smoke, but no light. Free Republic would me much improved with your banning.

The infiltrator has done this on every Waco thread. Every one, at all hours of the day.

Check out the posting history and the time stamps. This one is an ozone generator. Sadly, it will pop up again under a different screen name.

No to all your questions. I do not even own a bicycle, let alone a motorcycle. My only transportation, other than my feet is an 07 half ton Chevy pick up. Once a month they have bike night in downtown Plant City. I have never went nor do I intend to. It doesn’t interest me. What does concern me is the casual manner the police have gotten into of shooting people down. It concerns me because I am a people and I know that if they casually shoot them, if the urge strikes them they will shoot me.

Where is your proof of this baseless assertion?

Logical thinking, at least, might reveal to any thinking person that bikers stayed the same; whereas the government got worse.
