BSA is recruiting in our sons’ school. Now they want to join. I wasn’t allowed to participate as a kid because my parents objected with the comparison to Nazi brown shirts. Now add homosexuals to the mix. Nothing sacred or safe any more.

I don’t think the destruction of children is anyone’s goal either stated or in their heart. Now with those with homosexual tendencies, the eventual *result* is the destruction of children but such people aren’t sitting in some dark, smoke filled room somewhere asking themselves, “How can we destroy kid’s lives next?”
This is what makes the pro-”gay” agenda so dangerous. No one who self identifies as “gay” or “lesbian” thinks about or even wants to destroy a child. But that’s exactly what occurs when such people adopt children, or are in positions of authority over them. It’s quite crafty really truly inspired by the evil one.

Trail Life USA, Royal Rangers and some other Christian organizations have been filling the void.
I suspect TL USA will see a substantial increase in membership after this announcement and further more if the BSA implements this policy change.
The disappointing thing in all of this is the divisions these announcements are causing within the BSA volunteer community.
The BSA doesn’t appear to care and I note strongly the absence and silence of the sycophant, devoted, unwavering BSA defenders here at FR on this matter.
Those who reject the sexualism of the BSA are called a whole host of names by those embracing it. Sad times for sure and the liberals are doing what they do best.

The Catholic Church did this with priests 50-60 years ago... the results were disasterous.
Are your statements rooted in reality (anecdotal) or just perception? Do you know who really runs the Scouting programs? Volunteers. Many of those volunteers are honorable and highly devoted individuals.
So in your mind, once my Eagle Scout son turned 18 I was to walk away and let the noob parent take my place?
The noob parent who won't or can't even make the time to bring their son to the meetings or go camping with them?
I guess that I should not have offered my time, resources, money and skills to advance the program and help youth because I wasn't a parent when I volunteered?
I shouldn't have led my Troop filled with inexperienced backpackers on a backpacking trip a couple of weekends ago because I could be a "creep" or a "closet case". I should have just hoped for the best and waited to see if any of those folks became statistics or read about in the paper.
You have absolutely no idea how much treasure and time I've devoted to Scouting in 20+ years to these kids because their parents were too damned busy or disinterested to do so themselves. For you to categorize me and many like me as "creeps" simply because we're helping kids is highly objectionable.

Anywhere young men congregate. The homos gravitate to such positions. When my son was young I made it a point to meet as many of the people in his life as was possible. I would let them get a good, close look at my scarred-up face.
Homos, gays, queers, putos, are all sexually disturbed people in the grip of obsessions and compulsions. Kids, especially fatherless kids, are meat for them.
What you think you “know” wouldn’t even fill a thimble on this subject. You’ve made your choice for your child and that’s the extent of your “knowledge.” Plenty of leaders had sons in the program and stayed active after their son completed their Eagle. Younger parents and leaders benefit from that knowledge that you would just dismiss out of hand.
I’m plenty disgusted by the choices made by the national council in the past about gay youth members and this announcement about adult leaders by Gates was a foregone conclusion when they decided to hire him. My son completed his Eagle in 1998 and I stayed active until 2004 as my daughter became involved in the Venturing co-ed Scouting program. I’ll not allow you to broad brush me or any other Scouter that chose to stay active for an extended period.
They are trying to replace the Worldview in American boys to that of the “homosexuals”, who literally founded boys scout troops in Germany in the late 1800s for their orgies in the woods with the boys. They have to program the young to normalize using the body in such inhumane, degrading ways to normalize the Jeffrey Dalmer way of “looking” at others.
They have to destroy the Christian Worldview in children-—particularly emasculate the boys and sexualize them so they are narcissists and fixated in puerile latency (homosexuality) to destroy Individualism and moral character in boys for the NWO of “happy slavery” where boys are so irrational and dumb-—they actually believe “snow is black” and sodomy is a Virtue and a flourishing (productive ha ha) way of life.
It is all for the progressive movement into totalitarianism—which destroys Virtue formation in children so Freedom is impossible. They need the minds of the YOUNG to pervert and warp for their future NWO. It is why “Pride” days (Satanic worldview) is forced in our public school system—to deform and destroy Common Sense and Reason like they did with the young in Ireland (and the Catholic Church did NOTHING to change the perceptions of the young—in fact the homosexuals in the Catholic Church were quite pleased with the results of the elevation of Satanism in children—and young adults. Children need to be groomed for the lifestyle of getting arousals when looking at the same sex......Libido Dominadi....total slavery and destruction of biological connections for their Marxist utopia of total irrationality and vice.
A question comes to mind for anyone familiar with how the Scouts operate these days. I know in the past there were full time scout positions at the council and higher levels, but are there any paid scoutmaster positions around the US?
If local scoutmaster and other local troop positions are all voluntary and unpaid, then the motives for volunteering might need to be even more closely scrutinized.
My whole family were scouts and scout leaders. Your assumption that both my parents, my wife and I, my sister and her husband are "creeps" just to satisfy your perverted little mind, is completely baseless and patently false. And none of us are "homo" as you so loosely claim.

This will result in the ruination of the Boy Scouts. Incidents WILL happen, and parents will not want to sign up their children. A gay reputation will follow, and jokes will fuel its demise. There will not be enough numbers to support it. Very predictable.
Many church-sponsored groups disbanded in 2013 when the first wave of sodomization was announced. You can bet that even this newest recommendation by Gates will be met with an increased exodus from this formerly noble boys' organization.
Similarly, when the United "Gay" fund raising campaigns were held at a former employer, I would designate 100% of my pledged contribution to the BSA.
That was over 10 years ago.
And to think Robert Gates was an Eagle Scout in 1958. But then again so was Michael Moore in 1970. It’s sad that a group of men have ruined a great organization.
