Putting Congress in Charge on Trade (Et tu, Cruz?)
The Wall Street Journal ^ | May 24, 2015 | Paul Ryan and Ted Cruz

Posted on 05/24/2015 1:30:01 PM PDT by Timber Rattler

The United States is making headway on two historic trade agreements, one with 11 countries on the Pacific Rim and another with America’s friends in Europe. These two agreements alone would mean greater access to a billion customers for American manufacturers, farmers and ranchers.

But before the U.S. can complete the agreements, Congress needs to strengthen the country’s bargaining position by establishing trade-promotion authority, also known as TPA, which is an arrangement between Congress and the president for negotiating and considering trade agreements. In short, TPA is what U.S. negotiators need to win a fair deal for the American worker.

Wow, so if Palin runs and you have someone like Cruz or Walker on top of the ticket, you will stay home? You are the very reason we don’t win elections.

No, you are rational. There are those on this site who are bandwagon jumpers...chicken little types. If someone does one thing wrong, they say “oh, well, I won’t vote for this person” or “I guess I’ll stay home in November”.

Cruz is the single most solid Conservative we have had since Reagan. The fact that he is getting creamed so much tells me that he is a threat. One vote that I might or might not agree with won’t deter my vote for the man.

Cruz or lose!

Naaah. If I vote it’ll be because I actually like the candidate and agree with him or her. Not because I have some delusion that my one vote out of the 100 million plus cast will make one iota of difference.

A sucker is born every minute. Sad. But if it makes you feel like you’re doing something important, by all means enjoy standing in line.

John 4:18 (KJV) There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

You’re welcome. Sorry if I offend the delicate sensibilities of those who want to think that their vote matters.

Beautiful quote.

One of my favorites from John is “If it were not so, I would have told you.” You left out the best part. LOL (in your previous quote)
