Current attacks on those who question the science of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) are signs of desperation. You can detect the exasperation in this comment by President Obama.
“So unfortunately, inside of Washington we’ve still got some climate deniers who shout loud, but they’re wasting everybody’s time on a settled debate,” Obama said, doubling down on remarks made during his State of the Union Address this year by adding that, “Climate change is a fact.”
Whoever said it wasn’t a fact? Does the President believe that if humans disappeared climate change would stop? If he does, it is a reasonable, but ludicrous conclusion to draw from the IPCC claim that 95+ percent of climate change since 1950 is due to human production of CO2.
Why is the most powerful person in the world ranting against a few people expressing different views? If they are so wrong why does he bother? He insults people by suggesting they are dupes. John Kerry made even more irrational comments.
“We don’t have time for a meeting anywhere of the Flat Earth Society.”
These are uneducated, intemperate, dismissals, even for politicians. Why do they feel so threatened by what the deniers are saying? It is a classic example of protesting too much.
There is clearly a counterattack emanating from a siege mentality White House driven by four major conditions.
It is the avowed primary policy driver for President Obama’s domestic and foreign policies. The last chance for a global climate policy occurs December 2015 in Paris (COP21). Polls, especially from the UN, show the public does not consider climate change a concern. Major countries, such as India, are already announcing ambivalent positions on CO2 reduction and refusal to limit burning coal. . .

Here’s what I never understand about global warming.
These people, Al Gore, etc. present evidence of global warming. But, they don’t really have anything to say about how much is man made, vs. how much is due to natural cycles.
There have been numerous ice ages in earth history. During the last ice age, Chicago was buried under a mile of ice.
The ice melted due to natural cycles. Prehistoric man didn’t pump CO2 into the air due to operating fossil fuel fired power plants or driving SUVs.
So, how did previous ice ages end? Didn’t they end because of global warming? So isn’t it possible that global warming could have some benefits, if it is happening???
Also, how much climate change is due to natural cycles is important in any scientific study. Are we saying that if only Congress had passed Obama’s cap and trade bill, that global warming due to natural change would have ended??? Does mother earth really respond to acts of Congress???
Hussein contradicts himself. If the debate is “settled” then who the hell are the “Climate Deniers?”
“Settled Debate” means “I have decided! Everyone else shut up OR ELSE!”

What is climate change? How do we measure it?— temperature? Did you know that the Ice pack in the Antarctic is at all time high mass? It grew tremendously in 2014. You can see the increase easily on the internet. Dramatic before and after pictures. I deny anything that is subjective. We demand objective criteria. Besides ,it is beyond further discussion that Obama is a liar.
Fact: Homosexuality is unnatural,two men or women for that matter cannot naturally have children. settled.
Fact: socialism does not work. settled.
Fact: 22 trillion dollar war on poverty has failed. settled.
Fact: open borders invite great danger and instability. settled.
etc,etc,etc.....

The “debate” never really ends in science. But of course soetoro would never admit that, not that he even knows it.
I’d sure like to see his “university” transcripts. I seriously doubt he ever took a science course in his life.
Can’t help noticing that the debate used to be about “Global Warming.”
Then we began to have a series of record cold winters.
So the “Global Warming” characters shifted their terms, and the debate was about “Climate Change.”
Now, apparently, the terms are fixed and written in stone.
And all the scientists involved in ongoing studies are making a pile from government cash, which, by the way, has to keep flowing from the taxpayers to fund Obama’s socialism and SAVE us all - gasp! - from the endless variety of Obama’s Bogus Boogiemen.
Perhaps the REAL debate should be about taxpayer cash confiscation by vested interests.
We got some climate change going on right now in TX and OK. From drought to deluge-—but those who drive a Prius or a Volt are totally not to blame. Its all caused from man-made pollution and carbon emissions upsetting Mother Nature. /sarc
Got news for the climate change propagandists. Man did not create the earth nor can or will he destroy it. Only the Creator can do both. Man may damage the earth only a tiny little bit in spots but the arrogant leftists are in true denial of this fact and thus reveal their spiritual ignorance.
The banning of Bjorn Lomberg’s climate institute shows the hypocrisy of the liberal left and strict beliefs lithmus test they are imposing.
He agrees with global warming, he simply thinks that for a couple hundred billion dollars, giving everyone vitamins, de-worming, vaccines, clean water, sanitation and other steps that dramatically improve the human condition for billions is a better investment than energy poverty for the world to have negligible impact.
In short, he agrees with global warming but says investing a fraction of that money they want to pour into industrialization mitigation is better spent improving the lives of the bottom billions.
And for this, he’s denied a platform, his institute banned from an Australian college that wouldn’t have had to pay for it, and many liberals realize that if a co-founder of Green Peace who agrees with the mantra but applies pragmatic problem solving to the world is pilloried, the 97% climate consensus may be fake because too many people dare not challenge the official dogma.
By the way, Bjorn Lomberg’s TED talk is great.
