Under fast-track, Congress transfers its most basic legislative powers to the Executive for six years. Any yet-unseen global pacts, no matter how sweeping, are guaranteed a fast-track to congressional adoption. No amendments. No ability to strike any offending provision. And no chance to apply either the 60- or 67-vote thresholds used for important legislation and treaties.
I asked the President how his fast-tracked proposals would impact jobs, wages, and trade deficits. He would not answer. The bills promoters also refused to answer when asked whether their proposal would reduce net manufacturing jobs in the United States. That is because they know it will. Like the South Korean trade dealwhich doubled our trade deficit after promises of a trade renaissancethis proposal will widen further our trade deficits and eliminate jobs.

“Cruz voted Yes again!”
Did that really surprise you? He did the political calculus and, well, I guess the middle class just wasn’t thst important.
If this bill is passed into law, we will have lost the Republic, not so much because of what MAY be in the bill, but because the bill was passed in secret. The senators who voted for this bill are traitors, no matter how loud they bleat their good intentions. Somehow, Obama may go down as one of the greatest in world history because he has singlehandedly disassembled the greatest nation ever in world history.
I want to like Ted Cruz but he is a big time supporter of H-1B visas so I’m afraid he is a corporist too.
“I always said, when you accept that Obamas foreign policy is driven by establishing an Islamic caliphate throughout the entire Middle East, and that Obamas domestic policy is driven by establishing a Communist central government, then everything you see him do makes sense.”
What makes more sense is he’s the bad cop in a never ending good cop/ bad cop routine. Congress was only too quick to help toss the middle class under the bus.
And Ted Cruz was right there with his YES vote.
“Somehow, Obama may go down as one of the greatest in world history because he has singlehandedly disassembled the greatest nation ever in world history.”
No. He does what he does with active assistance and collaboration of the rest of the gop-democrat uniparty.
“I want to like Ted Cruz but he is a big time supporter of H-1B visas so Im afraid he is a corporist too.”
Yep. But a corporatist with a really good conservative schtick.
In world history, the leader always gets the credit.
Where is the final vote tally? I would like to see how everyone voted.
We are pretty upset with Cruz right now. This is BS on his part. I don’t get it and I’m really upset about it.
“Revelation 17:17 For God has put it into their hearts to fulfill his purpose, to be of one mind, and to give their Kingdom to the Beast...”
Yes. That makes sense. God have mercy on us.
Only Collins, Lee, Sessions, Shelby and Paul voted no on the GOP side
Don’t forget, Mrs. Cruz is a senior executive at Goldman Sachs. Goldman is lead bank into Wall Street “too big to fail” banking cartel. Hank Paulson, George Bush’s Treasury Secretary during the 2098 financial crisis, was a former Golman CEO. He took care of the banks at the expense of the taxpayer. Jon Corzine, another former Goldman CEO, former democrat US Senator, and former governor of NJ was at the center of the MF Global meltdown, yet was not prosecuted. Goldman Sachs is at the center of the power structure and everything wrong with the big government corporatist state.
It is difficult to believe anyone in a senior management role at Goldman is not tainted by corruption.
Mitch and his GOPey thugs act like they’re giving the middle finger to conservatives. And they’re doing it with a smile.
They can all rot.
Thank you.
I think he and the power behind him is pure evil. The republicans are scared to death of him.

history often repeats itself.
> And Ted Cruz was right there with his YES vote
That is disappointing to say the least. I had hoped he would be true presidential material. He’s made some questionable choices lately that could jeopardize his future in the elections more than he thinks. If he doesn’t provide a satisfactory explanation for his actions he may well have killed his chances at winning the 2016 election.
> I think he and the power behind him is pure evil. The republicans are scared to death of him.
I believe this too. Maybe he pulls his mask off and they see his horns and red skin in Congressional Hall....
“If he doesnt provide a satisfactory explanation for his actions he may well have killed his chances at winning the 2016 election.”
Ted Cruz is a very smart and very astute person. He did the political calculus and decided the rubes were too stupid to figure it out.
I hope he enjoys his 30 pieces of silver.
Both of Alabama’s Senators voted against it. I knew Sessions would but sometimes Shelby makes me wonder about him so I wasn’t too sure. He’s a former Democrat after all and they move in mysterious ways at times. Roll Tide.
