Not being too judge-y about youthful intra-family child molestation seems like a smart hill for the GOP to fight on in 2016.

I mean, seriously, this is the kind of thing social liberal activists can and will jump on in their campaign to eliminate traditional values altogether. Why bring Todd Akin into this?
Mike Huckabee, to his credit, supported and stayed loyal to a True Conservative candidate when others, led by Rove, sought to trash him.
Todd Akin was leading in the polls up until the point Rove trashed him, pulled money, and essentially endorsed his Democrat opponent.
It is bad enough to read the Todd Akin smears around the internet. It is a shame they show up here as well.
He would’ve collapsed without the pulling of the support! Huckabee must have ulterior motives for his entrance into this race. I swear the GOP recruited him to enter to scuttle others from gaining traction for nomination.
There should be no defense of him from anyone. What he did was evil and reprehensible. The fact that he is a great director doesn't obscure the fact that he robbed a child of far more than Bernie Madoff stole from his victims. What has our culture become when people can commit despicable criminal acts and yet get defended and excused because they are celebrities.

It's a perfect illustration of the stupidity of Huckabee. He shouldn't touch Duggar or Akin with a 10-foot pole. AND ... it was NOT Akin vs. the GOP'E'. There were better conservatives than him in the primary. Here's a conservative, unlike Huckabee, who had a better idea than going forward with the loser Akin in the all important MO Senate race ....
