Majority Of Dems OK With Criminalization Of Hate Speech

A poll released Wednesday by the online pollster YouGov has found that a plurality of the American public, as well as a majority of Democrats, support limiting the First Amendment to allow a ban on hate speech.

The problem is determining what hate speech is. It will be entirely different between different people. How do you prove it? it is too subjective to be put on the books as law. It is the open door which leads to “thought” police.

That is pathetic. Who gets to decide what the speaker INTENDED by their remarks? Do we give them the benefit of the doubt, or are they guilty until they can prove otherwise? My home Canada has gone through this and it is a mess. Neo Nazis have been targeted by human rights commissions, as have a Christian pastor for speaking against gays. Not a single Muslim has ever been dragged before the kangaroo courts for their hate speech.

What happened in Baltimore, the other week, was very similar to the Crystal Night riots in Germany in 1938, where shops were not only looted and destroyed; but those who controlled Law enforcement actually protected the organized thugs.

There are some reports that a few law enforcement employees actually participated in the looting.

There are too many parallels to the state of society today in the USA and Weimar Germany in terms of widespread homosexuality, growing government repression, and discord.

Not sure whether we are totally clueless as to how human societies function or that the totalitarian types really do not care because they want to force their version of Utopia onto everyone else!

But their version of Utopia is a cloudborne index of their own compulsive need to deny reality.

We deal not with compassion, but with very destructive Compulsion.

The reality is that no element in society will benefit in the long run from what the Left promotes--although a very despicable group of scoundrels & demagogues may benefit in the short-run at the expense of all that is decent in the American heritage & the West in a broader sense.
