Hillary’s Unqualified Top VP Choice
Daily Beast ^ | May 18, 2015 | MATT LEWIS

Julian Castro is attractive and charismatic. He also has no business being a heartbeat away from the presidency. Let’s get this out of the way early: Hillary Clinton’s rumored No. 1 choice for vice president would be the least-qualified nominee for the job in decades.

Sure, it’s a little early to play Hillary “veepstakes,” but when you don’t really have a primary to worry about, you get speculation like this: During a Spanish-language interview with Univision’s Al Punto the other day, Henry Cisneros, Bill Clinton’s former HUD secretary, predicted current HUD Secretary Julián Castro would be Hillary Clinton’s running mate in 2016.

I saw Julian speak at an event a few months back. He’s definitely an Obama protege. He has been trained to speak just like Obama with the same cadence and inflections. It was a little spooky to me, but to the average voter....who knows. I can’t read this electorate anymore other than to see they are gullible and vote emotion over common sense.

yeah, but she’s going to be 70 next year. IF (perish the thought) she were elected, he’d be that heartbeat away from the presidency. This is so like ‘08 when an older GOP candidate chose a young, attractive VP who was excoriated for lack of qualifications. But this time it won’t matter. Those who did the excoriating will now have a memory lapse.

Why would the Happy Vote be inclined to vote for Raul’s little brother?

It's really not going to impact this election nor whoever gets in.....they'll change the rules or take him out...that's how they work. They use people then eliminate them one way or the other.

It was a reply to your question who is Julian Castro.

Julian Castro is one Latino politician without any scandals -- so far and so far as I know.

Cisneros can't say the same. Even the hint of a sex scandal in a running mate would remind voters of Hillary's troubles with Bill and Monica.

Plus, Cisneros is the same age as Hillary, so whatever youth appeal the ticket might have is gone.

One thing about Castro, though: any hijinks he may have been up to can conveniently be blamed on his twin brother.

When the congress was investigating the 9/11 attacks and previous Clinton administration communications with both foreign and domestic security and intelligence organizations, Hillary sent Sandy Berger to steal and destroy sensitive classified documents from the National Archives that were under subpoena. We all know that Berger got away unscathed and resumed a lucrative career on 'K' Street.

When Hilary was close to the nomination for the dem candidacy in 2008, she named Berger as her National Security adviser. Had she gotten the nomination, he (a convicted felon on probation) would have been sitting in on daily presidential security briefings.

Regardless of his felonious history, he will soon be back in that role, it seems.

“I’d think Cruz/RandPaul would play well against that combination.”

*****

I’d think Cruz/Condi Rice would run 330 plus electoral votes against that ticket.

Obama was the least qualified candidate in the history of this nation — but the Democrat Party pushed him over on America TWICE.

Condi Rice has a big problem with her connection to GWB’s wars. She’d also get some of the blame for the Patriot Act. That’s why Rand Paul who is a bit less of a war monger and very anti-government trampling on our rights would bring in a significant vote no one else, either party, would appeal to.

Not to mention her pro abortion stance.

Doesn’t matter who she picks. If she wins the election he’ll disappear, never to be heard from again. Bill won’t share the #2 spot with anyone, and the MSM will play along. If it’s Castro, he’ll attend a lot of funerals in faraway places, far from the spotlight and the levers of power.

President “Hussein,” Vice president “Castro”...

Isn’t there anyone named “Stalin,” “Mao,” or “Kim Jong Un” that we can vote for?

I can’t think of a single person who’s suffered more public humiliation than that woman. Nor abused as many people “beneath her.” She’s like the old Timex ad “takes a lickin’ and keeps on tickin’”
