I just finished reading Eugene Robinson’s article “We find trouble when we go looking for it.” Robinson seems to leave out some factual analysis.
Robinson says that 85 percent of stops in New York City under the stop and frisk policy were blacks and Hispanics. The fact is 95 percent of murders in New York City are committed by people of color.

nyc police stats anyone? 5% sounds a bit low. Could be twice as high and still be around 10%.
By the way, whites are in the minority in NYC soooooo the headline is misleading, too.

Last time I was in NYC, I wish I had a camera. Looked just like some 3rd world country. Streets strewn with rubbish. Nobody speaking English. When you open you borders to the entire 3rd world guess what? You get a 3rd world nation.

If you watch the prime time police dramas (my wife is a fan) you'd think that the typical murderer in NYC is a CEO or investment banker, the typical victim is a supermodel or actress, and the most dangerous places in NYC are rooftop swimming pools, because that's where they find all the dead supermodels and actresses. Ain't so.

You can add Detroit, Chicago, Los Angeles, and pretty much every other major city to that list - and of course, Washington DC. I have learned to avoid going anywhere near the middle of our cities. Too damn dangerous/disgusting.
