Eggs Ackley, and that’s why Jacob had to trick his father when it came time for the blessings ...
“Israel will study the agreement and consider its next steps accordingly
The only studying they need to do is whether to strike during the day or night.
And btw, this Catholic stands with Israel all the way. Jesus is our high priest, not a man.”
Bwahahahahahaha! to your first comment.
AMEN to your second comment.
This Pope has made Abbas a Saint for arranging the
murder of Jews in Munich, and probably more since.
He didn't HAVE to do anything, he did it because neither he nor his mother fully believed God would fulfill His promise.
The context is Jacob had to trick his father in order to receive the blessing usually reserved for the oldest son. Had Jacob not joined his mother’s conspiracy and accomplished the subterfuge I am sure God had a way to fulfill His Promise in Jacob, the twister. When God ironed the twist out, He renamed him Isra el.
Isn’t it interesting how many examples God has given us of
Him promising, then men and women failing to believe the Promise and the consequences? And look at the ones who DO believe God’s Promises ... Rahab comes to mind, and Ruth, and Esther, and Mary, and Daniel, and Abraham, and Saul of Tarsus, and Cornelius, and ... well, you get the gist.
Even more interesting in hindsight is speculating on the fewer problems succeeding generations would have had to deal with had the shortage of faith not occurred.
The Jews are our older brothers. Read the parable of the prodigal son.
I don’t understand the benefit of a church signing a treaty. Are they going to agree not to invade each other? If that’s the case I wouldn’t trust the muslims.
This pope is a piece of work. If he is truly God’s representative we are in trouble.
Explain.
Now I understand what you mean about Israel being our older brothers. I was confused because I first thought you meant Israel,(Jacob) was the oldest brother.
I dunno. They keep barfing up some dandies with each on worse than the predecessor.
