Pope Francis in the wrong boat on climate change
Canada Free Press ^ | 04/29/15 | Judi Mcleod

When it comes to “man-made” climate change, Obama doesn’t just lie, he tells whoppers

Of the countless small craft out there in the water trying somewhat hopelessly to flag down the mighty SS Vatican on its way to meet the USS Obama, there are some raising a fervent prayer:

“Pope Francis, don’t for heaven’ s sake jump into the President Barack Obama Global Warming/Climate Change Boat.”

It’s one thing for the New York Times to claim the pontiff as one of their own as far as social justice spawned climate change goes, quite another to be called out as a chief Obama disciple on all things environmental.

The pope is a socialist and sees globull warming as an excuse to transfer trillions of dollars from economically successful countries to failed third world dictators.

The Jesuits which the pope is, have many fine priest scientists. The Pope has access to this. The Pope has made a political decision on Global Warming and not a decision based on science. The Pope also has a degree in chemistry. He is no fool when it comes to science. Unfortunately he is a politician.

I question my faith in the Church.

See link below about Jesuit Scientists:

Even the pollutions on the Earth ARE NOT A ROOT to the problem, they are a consequence. We can get a good talking from civil figures about climate change, so I don’t see why they can’t just give a good talk on what is good for the soul, because well, there’s plenty of problems that are for the soul that churches can talk about right now, even if it bear repeating.

He's "drifting too far from the shore".

I guess the Pope doesn't believe in the Bible

From Noah's Ark to the famines and many other examples in the Bible

I am sure glad I am not a Catholic

I wonder if the Pope is ready marry Gays?

I am a Catholic. The fact that we have a Socialist Pope in office makes me no less a Catholic than the fact that we also have a Socialist POTUS makes me any less an American.

The encyclical in question will not be published for at least a month yet (now they're saying June.) Shrewd guesses aside, why is everybody so sure they know what's in a document that nobody has seen?

Over the next 6 weeks or so, you can expect a multiplication of this kind of drum-beating, tendentious "pre-coverage coverage".

No matter what the Pope says, it'll rarely break through all the elaborately constructed "framing."

My #1 prediction: Pope Francis makes a big case for natural sex/gender and natural marriage, natural procreation and the natural family as part of a wider respect for God's natural creation.

My #2 prediction: Nobody in the EneMedia will mention much of Pope Francis' defense of natural sex/gender. Nor will they make the salient point that the Pope has no authority to make magisterial statements about "climate change." Geophysical science is outside of his competence.

My #3 prediction: you won't be able to separate "what he said" from "what they said he said" unless you read the whole thing in Latin or Italian (or whatever language he's writing it in) and do your own translation.

Frankly, by the time it gets into English, I won't trust the page numbers unless I count them myself.

Remember, folks, you read it here first at Free Republic!

Equal distribution of poverty is the only thing that matters to them.

I base my opinion of the Pope on WHAT HE HAS SAID on global warming, he supports the United Nations Accord on Climate Change. See link below for this.

Your comment illustrates a simple truth-- "global warming" is a political cause not a scientific issue. Scientists with a left wing bent, who endorse the climate change cause, are acting as lefties not as scientists. They are unethically doing so, practicing politics under color of their scientific credentials.

Vatican News Flash!!!

Effective May 1 2015, all Catholic institutions must replace all candles with LED`s to prevent climate change.

All incense burning is banned and must be replaced with non-polluting natural gas burners.

Except that the pope will continue to live in opulence long after the western world has been destroyed.
