PoloSec, there are a few FReepers who are ganging up on attacking Ted Cruz viciously on the Fast-Track. Do you know which candidate they support?
Anuzis has a fine and honorable family and tradition.
And will be a strong leader in Michigan for Senator Cruz.
TWB
I agree, but their tactics are crude and obvious.
Anuzis may get Michigan to go for Senator Cruz.
TWB
I think thats it as well. GOPe-ers are lining up behind Cruz because he appeals to them. Not that Cruz is going in their direction.
Don’t see much of a problem with that, it’s called “leadership”
The fact is that whoever gets the nomination is going to NEED the money and organization that the GOPe brings to the table to win the general. Cruz recognizing this, engaging the GOPe early, and without surrendering his principles and values, is a sign of someone with a pretty mature understanding of the political environment.
I think it indicates that Cruz intends to actually compete in Michigan and Anuzis recognizes a winning horse.
Maybe I should say “who pay for them.” There are 3 of them.
Michigan AG Bill Schuette would probably make a great US Attorney General that most FReepers could get behind. He’s similar to Cruz in his loyalty to the constitution and his tenacity.
He successfully defended our ban of affirmative action in the US supreme court and is the reason Michigan is still standing in the fight against same sex marriage.
My best guess is Walker, but do to the character, integrity, confidence and wisdom of Cruz their attacks are hollow and empty since Walker is weak in those foundational area’s, there is nothing they can say or do that will diminish Cruz, it only serves to enhance the credibility of Cruz.
It seems to be the majority of freepers are in the Cruz or Walker camps, those who support other candidates from what I can determine are pretty much silent.
I’ve have said; since Walker got in the race he will eventually blow up, his foundation is weak, he is not stable in what he believes, I think every conservative should be supporting Cruz now and stop playing political poker; Cruz already holds all the winning cards against those who want to game him and he ain’t bluffing, so why do they want to play; I don’t know but they should understand our Free Republic is at stake, there is only one choice and that is not my opinion it is fact... Cruz 2016!
We gotta do this Cruz thing, even if it doesn't quite work the first time. Just as a whole lot of Brits voted Tory, when they really wanted UKIP, many "Republicans" (Whatever the Hell that is these days) might love Ted, but would feel more comfortable with a more namby-pamby Mr. Rogers type like the Bush fellow with the Mexican wife. Wouldn't want the neighbors to think we're not nice people. "Of course that Ted is 100% correct, but he's so outspoken .... so controversial. Frightens the ladies, that controversy stuff."
Remember, the "E-Republicans" can deliver just as many government goodies to you, Mr. and Mrs. Voter, but much more efficiently and in a very much "nicer" way!
/johnny
I think you’re exactly right.
Yeah, Johnny, you got that right. BUUUUUT, the other team has the advantage of concentrated, easily handled/fraudulent voter bases in the big states, while conservatives are somewhat scattered hither and yon.
Democracy being the eventual tyranny of the stupid, the real question is, "Can enough conservative voters be rounded up to (a)prevent "open" primaries, and win the primaries, and (b)offset the massed women, special interests, and minorities that make the Democrats more or less the default monoparty.
i emailed the writer to point out his inaccuracy
Are you going to go see him?
Probably not. I’m hoping he’ll speak at Hillsdale college again and maybe go see him then.
I'm hoping the circular firing squad frankly goes and STFU about the other candidates (except Jeb) and simply promotes their side. The firing squads kill us in the general.
If Cruz wins the nomination, that's only 1/2 the battle. He's got to win the general.
