.... Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi predicted Wednesday that Republicans will "rue the day" if the Supreme Court buys their arguments and invalidates tax subsidies for millions of people under President Barack Obama's health care law. Republicans have said they will try to ensure people don't lose insurance if the high court rules this summer against tax subsidies for health care coverage in certain states. But they haven't said how they would do it.

Sadly the Republicans are so stupid they will believe it. I have never seen any entity from the school yard to nation states allow their enemies to dictate their policy and strategies the way the Republicans let the Democrats run their party. They are the most brain dead fools I have ever witnessed.

That's what I see. The dems play a completely different game.

I don't have any use for liberals. Except target practice...

Nancy said “rue the day”?

Nancy Pelosi.....the youthful face of the Democrat Party.

“You kids get off my lawn! I’m not kidding!”

Pelosi said she knew the law well and that opponents were relying on a phrase taken "out of context" in pressing their case before the court.

Let's ask Mr. Gruber about that.

“Republicans have said they will try to ensure people don’t lose insurance if the high court rules this summer against tax subsidies for health care.”

This text is the appalling part of the article. If the Supremes invalidate the huge subsidies, they will have reduced the deficit and the burden on taxpayers a lot, reduced citizen infantilization by dependence on government, and throw a spanner wrench into Obama’s rush to socialism.

And the Republicans are going to fix it???

Pelosi is right. We are "taking" what we gave "for free" and that's why the GOP HAS NO INTENTION OF TAKING IT BACK.

The GOP could have already passed bills to unfund these...and the GOP hasn't.

The GOP is headed to ruin for many reasons, but this isn’t one of them.

For the last two elections, she has predicted the Dums woud win thw house. Didn’t happen. So, why is she still their leader and will she still be after they lose it in the next election?

Commerce Clause is the solution. Allow interstate competition in medicine. Treat medical licensing just like you do driver’s licenses. End any restraint of trade in health care. Allow Internet providers to provide prescription free classes of items like glasses, contacts, etc.

The market will fix it, as long as we let it.

Unfortunately something very vital to a lot of people is being held hostage here. Announcing a laissez-faire to let it heal is going to turn into a revolt against, guess what, not the Democrats, who will be able to make a charge of heartlessness stick more than it doesn’t stick.

There will have to be an interim patch to prevent this. Grandfather PPACA (sans penalties) for a set period while a newer, saner paradigm develops.

I agree to a large degree.

I do think that government has a role in assuring that claims or contracts are met—if someone promises or markets a product or service that does “x”, and it doesn’t do “x”, there is a role.

Of course, the free market will take care of that for the most part! I am talking about those in the mean time who may be injured by the promiser.

Fraud and misrepresentation must always be illegal and we have a court system that generally functions well. The system is utterly broken and has been for decades.

Imagine a restaurant that has no prices on the menu, bills you weeks later and you’re never certain what the price will be. Dental care, eye care, braces, Lasix, and cosmetic surgery are great bargains, why? Because they’re mainly regulated by the marketplace.

I know two obese people in their late 70s. Years ago they dieted and got down to their normal weight. Then they let it slide. They’re getting new knees and hips. Their grandchildren are paying for it. That’s immoral.
