I’m not a an NFL fan, but I think there are folks out there that like balance and appreciate it when something is hard to do. I think the casual fan tends to appreciate the bottom line. It works, the NFL is juggernaut.

Way too heavy on the punishment.

But they were at least light on the proof...

” The allegations were about the game vs Indy, two weeks earlier,”

I was just pointing out that Brady doesn’t need deflated balls to win.

You all realize that Ted Wells is a Jets Season ticket holder and the Colts personnel are in some cases former Jet employees? Right?

“He completed more passes in the fourth quarter with hyper-inflated balls than Wilson completed the whole game’.

Brady could have been throwing basketballs and he would have still riddled the Sea Hawk secondary. I guess too much money was lost in Vegas when the “unbeatable” Sea Hawks lost the game. By the way the quarterback that lost the game was rewarded for his interception with another huge contract. Wrong team won. End of story.

Seattle was beaten by a superior team due mainly to their superior quarterback. Seahawks luck was bound to run out sometime. Packers should have been playing in the game.

I am a huge Pats fan. I think they blew the superbowl and only won because the other team was stupid.

I think this whole thing is a joke. People hate winners. As a Boston Red Sox fan, I would equate them to the late 70’s Yankees. They were a great team, and I just could not stand them.

Its just football. Who really cares? Its fun, but its not like ISIS or anything.

You need incontrovertible evidence to render a judgment like that.

It's a professional sports league, not a court of law! Brady's conduct was deemed to be detrimental to the NFL, in the eyes of those who are vested with the power to make such determinations. That's that.

I'm sure Brady's total lack of cooperation with the investigation had something to do with the severity of the penalty as well.

The Patriots have been cheating since at least the "snow plow" incident. Then there was the stealing of signals a few years back, and now this. Who knows what else they've gotten away with?

But, hey, at least they're the Super Bowl champions. That's something. "There's cheaters and there's losers" and "win at any cost" are perfectly valid strategies, as long as you don't mind tarnishing your legacy a bit. The NFL champion Patriots are OK with that, and the chips fell were they fell.

I'm so glad that the only NFL team with a perfect season is the Miami Dolphins, and I think it was poetic justice that it's the Patriots that went 18-0 and then lost the Super Bowl.

Don Shula was correct to dub the Patriots head coach "Belli-cheat" the other day. Rules are rules, and the Patriots franchise has shown that they don't think the rules apply to them...

If I’m out there no one else is playing with my balls! On second thought there could be exceptions.....

and just what was Tom Brady found guilty of ? ? ?

BTW, everyone of you out there, including those self righteous assholes whole call the patriots ‘cheats’, is likely guilty of anything and everything someone want to accuse you of.

This is a political response for a bunch of losers who can’t believe that their team just can’t beat the Patriots.

Deflated footballs! What a crock of shit.

They are known as the New England Cheatriots in this house, have been for years.. pattern of cheating. Bill Billicheat, their coach. What a wimpy punishment. Of course.. we expect no less from Roger Goodell.

Tom Brady could have been throwing plastic frisbees, wooden croquet balls, or genuine turkey head badminton birds in that game and the score wouldn’t have been much different.

Ever hear of point spreads? Never mind the integrity of the game. The integrity of the point spread must be protected.

Calm down Drew...The Patriots will take another ring this season also...it is what we do here in New England since Kraft resurrected the franchise. Seattle passed on a run play and lost...simple! cut”n”dry. We can win with a varied team because of Belechik and the rest of the country hates us because of our dominance over the last decade and a half....the whole topic is contrived and BS. Brady gets ring # 5 within two years....my last name is Brady by the way...peel off you jealous haters...The Pat’s are a consistent winning club in a rough sport and a nice distraction from the thieves we talk about in government everyday....

That is not that. Brady has the right of appeal and I would wager the punishment is cut down to a max one game. And why didn’t the league investigate the Colts for having 4 deflated balls - the only balls they even bothered checking. Why do they get a pass? The NFL was out to nail the Patriots, the lack of evidence (their own words) be damned.

That little fact seems to be lost on these Pats fans here. They sound like a bunch of whiny liberals. Shameful really.

Dream on. The Patriots lost two pro bowl caliber CBs and Brady is gone for four games. They are more likely to finish 3rd in the AFC East than win another Super Bowl.
