It can be exhausting trying to bring white people up to a basic racial literacy.
Many don’t even know what they don’t know about privilege and history, and often either don’t take responsibility for their own education or expect you to educate them.
And I wish there were a racial primer out there somewhere — mandatory reading — with five or 10 basic facts about housing, education, criminal justice and employment. Or maybe a simple overview so that before we enter into meaningful conversations around issues that are front and center before our nation, I don’t have to go person to person trying to convince a large population of citizenry that the world isn’t flat.
It’s part of what feels like an ahistoric privilege some whites sometimes exercise. They treat foundational stories of how they’ve amassed wealth and power as pre-political, ignoring the violent, deeply discriminatory sides of the balance sheet. They see their experiences as normative, and anything else a deviation.

Just looking at the picture, it seems to me she’s just sitting there wishing her boobs were brains.
I too have noted that many of the areas which black activists scream about being “historically black”, and “destroyed” by (white) gentrification, were historically white if you just go back a little further. The black activists want to pretend that history began with their presence.
Maybe it has come to the point where it is cheaper to fight them than feed them.

Magda Jean-Louis could use a racial primer, too. Start with the FBI crime statistics, with respect to violent crime and the race of both the criminal and the victim.
I need no further "priming" or "enlightenment", thanks. I have seen and endured all the "black culture" and "white male guilt" that I can stomach in one lifetime. So shut your pie hole, Lonnae, or whatever your real name is. My ancestors (late 19th and early 20th century Irish immigrants) came to this country with NOTHING. My mother spent part of her childhood living with her brother and parents in a CONVERTED CHICKEN COOP with no running water. I have inherited NOTHING from my parents apart from a decent home to grow up in, and the understanding that I wasn't owed anything by anyone, and that it was up to me to make what I wanted of myself and my life.

Nothing more, nothing less. It’s a self-reinforcing feedback loop. Write articles that promote the narrative, get invitations to social events where you’ll get praised by your peers and encouraged to write more articles. Which then open more doors.

Is precisely that sort of mentality, instilled generation to generation, that gives you (and me, for that matter. And most certainly everyone else here on FR as well) such an “unfair” advantage and “privileged” existance.
It’s not the white folk who need to be brought up to speed. It’s the black folks who behave like animals and the black politicians who want to run our government the way they do it in Africa. A pox on them all.

I have black friends my own age (+- 40) that are grandfathered in and shake their heads in disbelief at what’s going on. To be honest, since Obama has been elected, I have avoided contact with black people I don’t already know. I have never, in my life, thought I would witness such outright racism encouraged on such a massive level by a president. Obama and Holder have empowered the worst behavior in the black citizen and a new breed of thug is a protected person while I, as a white male, am blamed and targeted for all the ills of the nation. Ain’t nobody got time for that.

For all these years, I have never seen an Asiatic riot, nor Asiatic rioters burn down any section of any town in the USA.
I have seen Caucasian rioters, but never expectant, with the next summer, and the next, and the next, as I have seen Negro rioters, from the days of the Watts riots through to today, without the retribution reaped from all the destruction meted out. This includes the after-Katrina riots in the West Bank, which included a ... mall.
So, for the offer of a ‘primer’, you would have to erase 49 years of witnessed history of Negro-incited riots, and the consequent willful destruction of others’ property and personal damages.
