The economy added 223,000 jobs in April and the unemployment rate dropped to 5.4%, a rebound from the dismal March report that led to concerns the U.S. labor market was heading into a prolonged skid.

Economists were nearly spot on in their predictions of a gain of 224,000 and that the unemployment rate would dip to 5.4%.

TOTAL BS. The economy continues to LOSE jobs, not add them. These numbers are entirely made up.

Meanwhile, the labor force participation rate was virtually unchanged at 62.8%.

When everyone gives up looking for work, I guess the unemployment rate would fall.

Never mind that nearly 100,000,000 working aged Americans aren’t included in this calculation.

93.7 million Americans now do not have a job:

http://www.bls.gov/news.release/empsit.t16.htm

Go into any store. In any city. Any state in America. Pick an aisle randomly, and pick up any item.

Anything.

The odds are, it was imported. Very likely from China.

Yet nobody, in either political party, is saying this is a wrong path for our country.

Donald Trump excepted. He seems to get this.

It also ignores the people who have dropped out of the labor market and are now living on handouts.

“Economists were nearly spot on in their predictions of a gain of 224,000 and that the unemployment rate would dip to 5.4%.”

Of course they were spot on. When you create your own reality, you can kinda predict it before hand.

This Krauthammer quote sums up the entire Obama reign:

"You call me skeptical, that's inadequate. I'm cynical. I'm so cynical that I make Diogenes look credulous. With this administration, I don't buy anything they're telling me. "

If the US has 175 to 200 million of the age eligible to be in the work force and per a report this morning on Drudge there are 93+ million out of work, if those figures are correct, the unemployment is at 46%. Per the obozo and his regime; You can keep your doctor!!

Someone should tell that to the 47 retailers closing a combined 6000 stores between them. Guess they didn't get the memo/spin that the economy is improving. I mean, bammy has decreed it, so it must be so, right? :-/

I remember when we used to laugh at the “news” and “information” coming out of the Soviet Union as pure propaganda.... I guess the joke is on us now.

Earlier in the week an economist was saying that the Friday jobs numbers would include around 25-30,000 seasonal phantom jobs. These are jobs that the Labor Dept thinks were created for spring but jobs that they can’t actually confirm were created.

I want them to be forced to detail how many of these 223,000 new jobs went to an H1B, L1, or illegal.

All BS.
