330 million population. 93 million people of working age out of work. 5.4% unemployment. That must be the new common core math.

That is classic. I am so stealing it for use the next time some liberal brags about the booming job market.

Be my guest. LOL!

I had Rush on in the car awhile ago and he said the 126,000 new jobs from last month has already been revised down to 85,000 so look for the 226,000 from this month to be revised in exactly 30 days. They do it every month.

Great news. It just goes to show you that the US economy is stronger than even the stupidest US president.

According to the BLS Table 9, the economy lost 252,000 full time jobs, and picked up 437,000 part time jobs. I don't have the numbers, but it's probably safe to assume this also amounts to lost benefits. All put together, this means we lost ground.

The sad part is, those numbers were reported by the government and are out there for anyone to see, yet the country still went into a delusional celebration over this so-called good news.

It's "FUN with NUMBERS" time again.

The sad part is this simple headline is ALL that most people HEAR and absorb which keeps them BELIEVING all is well.. and if it isn't.. then the Government will fix it/save us.

We are really cruisin' for a bruisin'.

We need to see some “number of people working” and “number on welfare” stats, compared to 2004 or 05.

Astoundingly, some people believe that we are actually better off now than in 2008 or at least they claim to believe it. Hard to imagine how anyone can be that blind.

Worse yet, many of the “full time” jobs that were lost were not really full time, just defined as full time. What used to be considered part time is now defined as full time. In my book full time is FORTY hours. It used to be the norm that hourly paid people worked forty and in many cases were offered as many hours of overtime as they could tolerate. Others had a full time job PLUS a part time job. The part time job was to pay for luxuries or retirement, not to keep body and soul together.

Population of 100 new cities is more like it.

If the unemployment rate is plunging so much, how come EBT/SNAP is sky rocketing so high? The disconnect here is astonishing!

Besides, I doubt almost none of the rioters in Baltimore and millions of ferals in the inner cities are counted in the Unemployment Rate. They are unemployable, and never have been employed except in the burglary and drug trades. But, of course, they do get food stamps, housing assistance, and enough welfare to trade for more drugs, bling, tattoos, and hoodies. Now we have to import millions of illegals because our native "working class" refuse to work. Why should they? We still support them. Besides, all those votes go into the Democrat pot!

The Liberal's have ruined this country. We are headed for economic and social collapse and civil war.

RE: If the unemployment rate is plunging so much, how come EBT/SNAP is sky rocketing so high? The disconnect here is astonishing!

This tells me that even if people have jobs:

1) The number of hours worked is not enough to pay the bills.

2) The jobs are not paying enough.

They either believe what they say, or they deep down don’t believe it but double down because they absolutely refuse to admit they’ve been duped and/or that the liberal approach is consistently a failure.

Telling me to my face that the quality/pay of jobs is FAR BETTER than when Bush was in and that we need immigrants to fill them (i.e. we have a labor shortage) is sheer lunacy. These people have jobs and pay bills, not someone on the dole. Can they not see?

"The actual unemployment rate is around 20%"

It's actually closer to 30%.

All that bad news for the past five years was all Bush’s fault. This alleged good news is entirely The One’s doing. Yup. With my little hatchet. I cannot tell a lie.

Actually they believed the numbers and expanded to meet projected goals according
to the false numbers being reported. It took a long time for them to figure out that
the Millennials are flat broke, in debt, and unemployment is extremely high.

Look at those companies and who they supported for President and you'll
find it difficult to have any sympathy for them at all. Obama screwed everybody.
