Pamela Geller hired her own security detail. If the mayor wants to keep his officers away because he doesn’t think free speech should be protected, I imagine most of the people in attendance were armed.

The left must feel great kinship with ISIS as liberal universities have used the canard of “public safety” to keep conservatives from speaking on campus, because leftist students threaten violence! So the effective use of violence to shut down speech is nothing new to them.
If a savage attack had happened in a mall in or near Garland, can we then assume that the innocent men, women and children who would have been killed had provoked the jihadis by shopping that day?

I think it is time we ALL picked a fight to ADVISE the intruders into our country and our way of life that their backward ideas just won’t fly in America. On the way to regaining our Constitutionally GUARANTEED RIGHTS, we need to remind officials and public figures that We The People will not tolerate seeing our RIGHTS trampled under the feet of Sharia believers.
Yes, she pushes their buttons which a FAR too sensitive. All that happened here is she provided some irresistible low hanging fruit and in doing so undoubtedly saved lives at a much softer target.

You mean like rap concerts, or many other concerts that attract a druggy crowd? You could probably say the same of many towns with bars and clubs on a Friday/Saturday night. You might say that of many fairs. Maybe world cup soccer and its European fans are too incendiary? What about the guy who was beaten at the Dodgers game? Perhaps those fans are too incendiary? What about the Chuckie Cheese in Brookfield, WI or the one in Cincinnati; they illicit more police calls than any together establishment in those towns. Perhaps they should be shut down as too incendiary?
This is America. We are a nation of free people. We are not going to change that for you simply because you came here from the old world with a set of beliefs that are incompatible with our way of life. We reject that way of life.
