The Obama administration is quietly pushing Sunni Arab allies in the Persian Gulf to create an advanced missile defense system, and is preparing to ramp up sophisticated weapons sales to Saudi Arabia in an effort to ease regional fears over a potential nuclear deal with Iran.
With Secretary of State John F. Kerry set to visit Saudi Arabia Wednesday and Thursday, officials privately say the administration is weighing whether to offer Riyadh — already a major buyer of American and European weaponry — GBU-28 bunker buster bombs Washington has so far only been willing to provide to Israel.
The discussions are taking place under a cloak of secrecy. The officials who spoke with The Washington Times did so on condition of anonymity only, and the Saudi Embassy declined to comment.

To my knowedge, unless the transfer was done in utmost secrecy, the U.S./Obama Admin has yet to actually give any bunker buster bombs to Israel, and allegedy Israel doesn’t have an airplane capable of dropping one. Could someone better informed than me fill us in on whether Israel even has one of the bunker buster bombs, and wouldn’t Saudi Arabia have the same problem of no airplane capable of dropping one (unless a U.S. plane comes along with the deal).
Or perhaps Israel/Saudi Arabia really do have planes capable of dropping the mega bomb, and the rumors otherwise are misinformation. Anyone know more about this? As I understood it, Obama was withholding the bunker buster bomb from Israel as he doesn’t want Israel using it anywhere in the future because of his pending Iran “bad deal”.
The GBU-28s discussed in the article were “supplied” near the end of GWB’s term but delivery withheld. Think they held them at Diego Garcia. Some (all?) were reported to have been delivered in 2011. They’re 5,000 pounders delivered by an F-15, either Israel or the Saudis can deliver them. You might be thinking of the 30,000 pounder recently in the news, which requires a B-2.

The agreement failed to mention, the bombs come with an airplane attached.

Thank you very much for answering my request for more info. I really appreciate it. Knowledge is golden. I knew there was an initial deal to deliver to Israel some bunker buster bombs that Obama slow walked in getting them to Israel. So those were the 5,000 pounders, and they did get to Israel. Very good. Actually, I was thinking about the 30,000 pounders which I now realize, as per you, is a separate transaction from the earlier 5,000 pounders.
So Israel will have to make 30,000 pounders themselves, and create the equivalent of a B-2 to deliver it if the U.S. withholds delivering any of the mega bombs to her, which he will. Obama would rather give them to Saudi Arabia, an Arab country, before giving them to Israel, a country he hates and wouldn’t care if it were attacked and destroyed.
Israel may not need to wait too long for their own delivery of mega bombs if we get a Pub Prez in office in 2016. That Prez, assuming it isn’t Rand Paul, will see to it that Israel gets what she needs. And our rotten President will be out of office for good, may he rot in hell. Hope this rosy scenario of mine is correct.
