On the Cusp of an 'African American Spring'
The Huffington Post's The Blog ^ | May 1, 2015 | John Fitzgerald Gates, Ph.D. , Former Associate Dean of Harvard College

Aghast at the sight of the Baltimore riot, I struggled for days to find meaning in what appeared senseless. I searched history for answers, discovering that what's happening through the protests and riots of African Americans throughout the country is similar to the "Arab Spring" that occurred in Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Yemen, Syria and Bahrain. Are we on the cusp of an "African American Spring" akin the Arab Spring? Perhaps.

The Arab Spring was an "awakening" of long-held yearnings for equality led mainly by young, disenfranchised citizens. It began as popular uprisings in the form of local protests, riots, social media campaigns and, eventually, military strikes against oppressive rule that spread transnationally. While the uprisings had precipitating factors, such as we have here with the police killings of unarmed black men and boys, they were linchpins rather than causes of the Arab Spring. The cause was freedom from oppression. America viewed the Arab Spring as the people legitimately raising their voices in pursuit of democratic ideals such as freedom.

Like the Arab Spring, people in Sanford, Ferguson and Baltimore did not riot for the black men killed. They were waging a legitimate insurrection against racial oppression affecting their own lives--poverty, lack of opportunity and mistreatment by law enforcement--that may be the cusp of an "African American Spring." But we have a difficult time accepting these "raised voices" because we are conditioned to dismiss black rage....

How to get $75k in benefits for you and your girlfriend.
Follow these proven steps.
1. Don’t get married to her.
2. Use your mom’s address to get mail sent to.
3. The guy buys a house.
4. Guy rents out house to his girlfriend who has 2 of his kids.
5. Section 8 will pay 900 a month for a 3 bedroom home.
6. Girlfriend signs up for Obamacare so guy doesn’t have to pay out the butt for family insurance.
7. Girlfriend gets to go to college for free being a single mother
8. Girlfriend gets 600 a month for food stamps
9. Girlfriend gets free cell phone
10. Girlfriend get free utilities.
11. Guy moves into home but uses moms house to get mail sent to.
12. Girlfriend claims one kid and guy claims one kid on taxes. Now you both get to claim head of household at $1,800 tax credit. (IRS pays you.)
13. Girlfriend gets disability for being “crazy” or having a “bad back” at $1,800 more a month and never has to work again.
This plan is perfectly legal and is being executed now by millions of people.
A married couple with a stay at home mom yields $0 dollars.
An unmarried couple with stay at home mom nets.
$21,600 disability +
$10,800 free housing +
$6,000 free Obamacare +
$6,000 free food +
$4,800 free utilities +
$6,000 Pell Grant money to spend +
$12,000 a year in college tuition free from Pell Grant +
$8,800 tax benefit for being a single mother =
$75,000 a year in benefits.
Any idea why the country is 18 + trillion in debt???

...”The Arab Spring was an “awakening” of long-held yearnings for equality led mainly by young, disenfranchised citizens”...

That’s nonsense....the Arab Spring was purposely instigated.....as was Ukraine and now Africa. Remember Obama said the focus would now be Africa....not to help but to move the masses....just as in Syria, N. Africa and Ukraine.....these movements change leadership and more importantly “Moves populations”.....and they’re all being re-distributed throughout the “designed” areas appointed to as refugees.....thousands upon thousands are being re-distributed to civilized western countries.

He used the word “Insurrection”.
I must have missed the mass Executions.

Very Simply, Mr. Beer Summit and protector of Hollywood Elites from Slaveholder Families is saying that Whitey is ISIS and the Blacks are being Marched onto the Beach.

It may be an apt comparison - look what happened in Libya, Syria, Yemen, Eygypt when their so-called “spring” occurred - death and destruction.

Gates, if you don’t acknowledge or understand the oppression of blacks by the Democrat party, you shouldn’t even bother writing on the oppression of blacks because you’re not truly thinking.

Baltimore is the new Detroit in bankruptcy is the chaos of the Middle East that has come to America.

Baltimore is now viewed as a very risky place to go for investments.

It is violent, lawless and run by corrupt criminal types just like in the Middle East.

When I saw the fires and the destruction in Baltimore I thought of the bombed out cities of Beirut, Baghdad, and in countries like Egypt. The Democrat leadership speak just like the criminals in the Middle East. They also sound like the b.s. that Hugo Chavez spewed as his country has turned into a remake of “Mad Max Beyond the Thunderdome with Baltimore as the Thunderdome.

Here is the new theme song of Baltimore as the entire city devolves into a pile of rubble.

He actually used the term “legitimate insurrection”

Which is the one thing that really jumps out at me from this article.

It’s a neat way to qualify only those insurrections that happen to suport your agenda.

“We apparently need a Conservative Spring.”

Exactly. An uprising by the producers against the multi-generational takers.

Let them pay their own way for awhile. Maybe they’ll learn self-respect, self-control, lawfulness, and public civility along the way.

One huge difference, in America the population is well armed and if 12% of the population thinks they can take the country by force they will end up being 1% of the population.

“’African American Spring’”

If I didn’t know any better I’d say that this statement meant that U.S. prisons were about to release inmates on a massive scale.

I think one of the primary reasons for the “black rage” is the fact that they’ve only fallen further since Obama was elected; rather than buy their gas and pay their rent, he has governed as a white liberal and sold them out for illegals. Their “leaders”, rather than lay the blame where it belongs (on the Kenyan Sultan), simply blame Republican (read: white) obstructionism.

While pushing more freebies, Obama has done nothing at all to really help blacks; even Je$$e Jackson years ago used to bring up the “fatherless family” issue (years before he made one himself).
