The sad scenes playing out in Baltimore are made sadder by the fact that more such incidents are likely over the coming years.
That's because the problems in Baltimore did not begin with the arrest and death of Freddie Gray. Tensions have been building for a very long time. Other cities from coast to coast have similar tensions ready to boil over.
Some tensions are common to all cities -- pockets of economic devastation, laws that are enforced more strictly in some parts of town than others, bad apples among the police, thugs in the community and more.
Some are specific to each city. In Baltimore, the tensions became apparent more than a decade ago when the city inadvertently assumed a prominent role in the Stop Snitchin' movement. Before that, in 2002, a Baltimore woman and her entire family were murdered after alerting police to illegal activities in her neighborhood.
The good news is that there are people on all sides in this tough situation who want to heal their cities. The bad news is that most people -- and certainly most media coverage -- are focused on who to blame. In the blame game, people from different walks of life see what they want to see.
Some see oppressive and racist police. Others see criminal thugs looking to destroy and steal.
In one now-famous incident, a mom slapped her son and pushed him away from the protests. Watching it, I saw a woman who just wanted her only son to be safe. She wasn't thinking about politics or role models or the cameras. She knew her son was in danger and acted to protect him.
That didn't stop others from reading great symbolism into her actions.
Some people, including the police commissioner, dubbed her a "Hero Mom." On Huffington Post, however, Julia Craven pointed out that the mom was protecting her son from the police. One local resident said white America called this woman a hero simply because she was doing what white America wanted to do to all black Americans and their children.
How can people look at the same situation and come up with entirely different conclusions? In Creativity, Inc., Pixar founder Ed Catmull highlighted research showing that only 40 percent of what we see comes from our eyes. The rest is filled in with what our brains expect to see. On the issue of minorities and police departments, the expectations are wildly different, and we've stopped looking more closely at the reality.
That's why we're likely to see more cities burning in the coming years. The tensions exist, and sooner or later a police incident will ignite the fuse. The specifics of the incident won't matter nearly as much as the underlying anger. People will see 40 percent of the story with their eyes, and they'll fill in the rest with what they expect to see.
The only way to avoid such a dismal outcome is to change the other 60 percent of what we "see." Wise city leaders will get people to "see" the reality that the vast majority of both the police and the minority communities want to make things work. Only after that is a shared recognition can people begin to establish the trust needed to make the cities safer and fairer.
I had lunch with a black gentlemen who is a more upstanding American citizen that 90% of the people I know. Solid, hardworking conservative Christian.
We get hit from the Left with “black culture”, so much that we start to believe its as monolithic as they say. Yes, urban blacks are very Democrat, but so are urban whites.
You ask, “What is racism?”
We are taught that all humans belong to the species of (genus) Homo (species) Sapiens and to the subspecies of Homo Sapiens Sapiens. That all races and ethnicities are actually the same species and subspecies of modern human, i.e. Homo Sapiens Sapiens. However, if one digs deeper into this diversity within our species, several puzzling anomalies come to light. If a person’s race can be determined from his skeletal remains, and a person’s race, ethnicity and lineage can also be determined from their DNA, doesn’t it indicate that the different races and ethnicities represent different subspecies within (genus) Homo (species) Sapiens? If we saw this anomaly among any other animal group, we’d immediately recognize this as proof we were dealing with different subspecies. Some anthropologists now believe that modern humans are descendants of the several, at one time, extant subspecies of Homo Sapiens, with Europeans descending from Homo sapiens-neanderthalensis (Neanderthals).
Now, what would be the point in geneticists, scientists, researchers, and governments to lie or withhold this type of information from us? I think it is a crude attempt to promote world peace. If it is discovered that in fact, the different Human Races are actually different species, this may be justification for racism, genocide, and separatism.
I think it will be a bit different. The mob will move out of the urban center to attack a suburb (as burning urban centers will eventually be recognized as stupid and futile). If the police withdrawal, suburban Americans will unload on the mob. The police will then reappear to protect the mob.
I see their long game as a nationalized police force. If they think our current forces are militarized, they haven’t seen nothing yet.

Baltimore Mayor, Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, ordered the police: to “stand down” “LET THEM LOOT. IT’ S ONLY PROPERTY”. We saw hell explode after the Black democratic mayor gave the thugs carte blanche to destroy the city. The police weren’t allowed to defend the city. More than 100 officers were injured, some seriously.
Baltimore needs a new mayor with courage and integrity, Toya Graham, the mother that took his son from the mob.

According to the FBI in 2011, 193 blacks were killed by whites, 448 White killed by Blacks while 2,447 blacks were killed by blacks. That is 2.3 times more whites killed by blacks than the other way around despite the fact that there’s six times as many whites in this country.
Do Black lives really matter? How many of the parents of Blacks murdered by Blacks received a call of Obama or send his personal representative to the funeral? Did our condolences in chief has ever called the parents of so many Whites killed by Blacks?

Not holding back one bit. Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke says O is “quietly enjoying” what’s going on in Baltimore because he’s a ‘promoter of division’ and has ‘benefitted politically’ from ‘dividing’ people.

For the sake of law and order is sufficient to to work under the assumption of our forefathers that “all men are created equal.” “Racism” is a word so butchered in current use that it is beyond usefulness. Individual and corporate conduct ought to treat all people with dignity, regardless of ethnic background. 95% of the world’s population knows this. The other 5% are agitators who make a profit from stirring up sh*t.
There has always been a certain amount of rough injustice handed out by government actors, that's all I'm saying. I do agree with you that the current state of affairs, a non-productive "entitled" class largely along racial lines, is a creation of politicians. LBJ kicked the transformation into high gear, and the Republicans have roughly enabled and gone along with it.
At any rate, my only point, at first, was that the death of that dude in Baltimore wasn't a false flag. Perhaps you and I are looking at different scope of events for attaching the "false flag" label.
I think the DEM mayor of Baltimore (like most DEM politicians) is just flat out wrong headed, and in her case, incompetent. It'll be interesting to see what Rahm Emmanuel does when the fun starts up in Chicago.

Let’s just be honest for a second shall we? About a year ago I was robbed at gun point by three black thugs while stepping out if my car in a parking spot.
I learned a lot working with the Detective and Sketch artist afterwards. I learned that their has been a war on in this country every single day for decades.
My sketch artist handed me volumes and volumes of photo albums of mugshots of black men, covering decades and decades of inmates from my city. While doing so she said “try to identify traits of your guys, chances are very high that these monsters father’s and grandfather’s are in there.”
On the ride back to my car the Detective and I discussed CCW. I told him that I have guns but don’t carry. The detective said “I don’t take a leak without my pistol, one of these days we’re going to lose this war out here and everyone is going to finally get what’s going on.”
Here’s the truth folks. We (the civil) have hired these men for years and years to hold back the tide of savagery and allow us to live as normal lives as possible. The situation you see now is the tide cresting the ramparts. The walls are coming down. You will no longer be able to run off to the country and escape. You will not be allowed to pay extra for your children to experience childhood safely. The thin veneer is failing.
If you truly love yourself and your bloodline, you will prepare for violence. At every moment. Be willing to avenge your kin, regardless of the meager costs to your own skin. Make this line in the sand now and by God, I mean this, kill until they kill you. War is coming.
I was just thinking of where I am, judging how safe I am from riots of the type that are happening. I'm 20 miles north of Dallas in a large upper middle to upper class area. Housing is very expensive in this area and even apartment buildings are high rent.
We have a police force and had occasion to speak to one of them not long ago, and he was nice. Their headquarters, plus fire and ambulance are not many blocks away.
I'm saying this large area is civil and the vast majority are law abiding. I would also bet there is at least one family defense weapon in every house. I think if rioters came here, streets would be guarded by those living there and rioters seriously set on harming property or people, would be repelled using deadly force. This is Texas.

Considering these last few events in the people’s republic of Madistan WI, and nationwide, many people who were formerly anti gun/ violence have had a change of heart.
Similarly there has been a recent uptick in gun store visits by people who are part of these protests, urged on to protect themselves from us.
