Ted Cruz knocks Mitt Romney: Ted Cruz in the news

Today's Ted Cruz news: In his speech Wednesday to the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Cruz took aim at 2012 Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney and his infamous "47 percent" quote. Romney, who of course went on to lose the general election, equated President Barack Obama's supporters with 47 percent of the country who "believe that they are victims" and "entitled" to government assistance.

"Where he got clobbered was 47 percent," Cruz said Wednesday. "I think Romney is a good man who had a hard campaign, but I cannot think of a statement in all of politics that I disagree with more strongly." Read more from CNN.

And for Throwback Thursday, see these similar remarks from Cruz in 2013, when he was the keynote speaker at the Cuyahoga County GOP's Lincoln Day dinner.

Cruz, by the way, is staffing up in Iowa, home of the first caucuses. He has signed up Matt Schultz, the former Iowa secretary of state, to chair his campaign there. He also announced a leadership team. Read more from the Des Moines Register.

Clueless, that is why you cannot define it or explain it.

Are you really, truly this dense, or is this some kind of act? Either way, you're doing a great job of it.

Not much of a knock.

Even Romney would agree with what Cruz said about him (especially the part about being a "good man"?).

You can’t define the “47%”, Romney could never define it, and no one has been able to.

Who is the 47%? If you know, then why can’t you tell us?

You have tried faking us out with, “”the truth of the matter is that there is NO WAY that 47% will ever give a rat’s behind about the GOP or what they do/say.””
“”but he was 100% correct about this.””
“”Sure! 47% of the voting bloc are totally and completely funded by our tax dollars, handed to them by the left.””

Who is the 47%?

Who is the 47%?

The ignorance! It burns! It's no wonder the Conservative movement is in the shape it's in. What with people like you in it, I daresay we ain't going nowhere any time soon.

Have you seriously not read anything I’ve posted on this thread? Are you so dense, with such a lack of common sense, that you CAN’T figure it out for yourself? Do you really need your hand held in this? If so, you might be more comfortable on a libturd site, cuz those of us here @ FR can generally think and deduce for ourselves. Obviously, you are entirely incapable of doing so.

Here’s a clue, since you apparently need your hand held: See #40 above.

So far you have refused to point out what 47% of the American population that Romney meant.

47% is a precise number, who is that 47%? And don’t just keep ranting about things in general, answer the question that Romney couldn’t answer, what 47%?
