Traveling with small children can be a stressful situation on its own, but one airline in Tel Aviv, Israel, made the predicament even worse by treating a family poorly before having them removed from the plane due to their crying child. According to Jewish News, husband and wife Ariella and Mark Aziz were scheduled to fly from Tel Aviv to Luton, England, on Dutch airline Transavia when their 19-month-old daughter began crying.
The Transavia crew asked the childs parents to position their daughter on their lap before takeoff and use the connector belt provided by the airline. The plane had already been delayed an hour, and the young child became agitated before beginning to cry uncontrollably.

Israel in title is somewhat misleading; it was a Dutch airline (in Israel).
Sounds like “Never miss an opportunity to bash Jooze” at work here.
My wife and I just returned from a 4 hour flight - we had a screamer - it was like torture - felt sorry for the child, felt sorry for the parents - they tried all they could do but were not successful - I wish there were options for either they get off or let us reschedule - tough to do at 38,000 feet. After going through this - we would side with the airline.

Sound blocking (earplug type) or cancelling headphones are a real godsend in such circumstances. May not completely block it out, but at least reduces the volume to a tolerable level.
Know what you mean. I’ve often wondered if the infant is dealing with ear pressure issues, in particular.
We almost got thrown off a plane when my toddler upchucked on me as we were going down the aisle, on an over-booked flight. I cleaned him up and I asked my husband to get me a clean shirt from the carry-on bag in the overhead. The steward threatened to have us all thrown off if he got me one - before taxiing, other people still not settled.
I was not going to hang around an airport with three small children for hours waiting for another flight. We knuckled under to the petty tyrant.
And the man next to us leapt at the chance to be bumped and take a voucher. ;)
If the plane wasn’t in the air when they were thrown off, I don’t think they have anything to complain about.
It raises the same question in this thread. Is a crying baby a security threat or a case of being petty tyrants.
petty tyrants.”
Believe the “petty tyrant” was the steward who wouldn’t allow her husband to get a clean shirt for the child out of the overhead bin. Flight attendants do tend to become way overcontrolling on occasion.
I always pack ear plugs...just in case. Or I did when I used to fly before the pervert government searchers stepped in to bully and molest the flyers.
