And I said nothing negative about anyone who makes that choice. I just said that I choose not to carry a weapon and lots here are acting like I peed on their Wheaties. If you want to carry a gun- go ahead. If you want to wear a life vest, heck there may be a flood. if you want to wear a hardhat for fear of falling rocks, go ahead and do that. Wear a reflective vest while cutting the grass to make sure hunters can see you while poaching in the neighborhood, have at it. Different strokes for different folks.

If I lived near coastline, I would probably have them accessible in my car, boat etc.

if you want to wear a hardhat for fear of falling rocks, go ahead and do that.

If I lived below an area which has rockfall, I would keep a helmet handy.

See where I'm going with this?

I understand. I didn't carry for many years. I never felt the need. Its just a different time these days. I wouldn't say that I "feel the need" to carry.... but I would say I'd feel like a brain dead goofball if someday for some unexpected reason I needed one to protect my wife and I... and instead I had the thing locked in the gun safe at home with a trigger lock on it.

But I understand what you're saying....

This post confirms what I was assuming about your previous comments, but gave you the benefit of the doubt. You're taking a rather priggish tone about the subject.

If you want to wear a life vest, heck there may be a flood. if you want to wear a hardhat for fear of falling rocks, go ahead and do that. Wear a reflective vest while cutting the grass to make sure hunters can see you while poaching in the neighborhood, have at it.

I'm detecting a bit of mockery here.

And I said nothing negative about anyone who makes that choice.

That is a bald faced lie.

"" I can certainly see how women and frightened men would need to carry guns. I just go about my business armed with the talents and protection that the Lord has provided.""

I just said that I choose not to carry a weapon and lots here are acting like I peed on their Wheaties.

Really nooby, you get on a thread about whether concealed carrying is best with a round chambered or not, to post this, and then you start in mocking gun carriers and concealed carry and you want to pretend to not be trolling?

No need to carry a firearm.
