Exclusive — Empirical Vote Data Shows Democrats Still Control US Senate...

Senate Democrats still control the U.S. Senate, election results last November aside, an analysis of all the votes taken since Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) took over as Majority Leader shows.

In fact, with two minor exceptions, every single vote that has passed the U.S. Senate since the beginning of this Congress in January has passed with at least—usually more than—93 percent of support from Democrats.

“While Republicans have done nothing to create jobs and help the middle class, on other topics like passing clean funding for Homeland Security and confirming Loretta Lynch, Senator McConnell has done the right thing by bringing bills and nominations to the floor that Democrats can support,” Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid’s spokesman Adam Jentleson told Breitbart News. “Democrats hope this trend will continue.”

Since January, according to the U.S. Senate vote count website, there have been 10 nominations confirmed. Each one has seen unanimous support from Democrats who voted, but varying levels of Republican support.

(snip)

The nomination of Loretta Lynch to be Attorney General, replacing Eric Holder—the most recent confirmation, passing on Thursday afternoon—saw all Democrats vote in favor joined by 10 Republicans. They are: McConnell and Sens. Kelly Ayotte (R-NH), Thad Cochran (R-MS), Susan Collins (R-ME), Jeff Flake (R-AZ), Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Orrin Hatch (R-UT), Ron Johnson (R-WI), Mark Kirk (R-IL), and Rob Portman (R-OH).

They get Stockholm syndrome. No matter how idealistic they are, once they arrive in DC, they are abused by the Democrats and the media.

Some of them develop Stockholm syndrome as a result. Probably not many, but enough to make a difference when the Senate is voting on bills.

Stockholm syndrome, or capture-bonding, is a psychological phenomenon in which hostages express empathy and sympathy and have positive feelings toward their captors, sometimes to the point of defending and identifying with the captors...The FBI's Hostage Barricade Database System shows that roughly 8 percent of victims show evidence of Stockholm syndrome.

Stockholm syndrome can be seen as a form of traumatic bonding, which does not necessarily require a hostage scenario, but which describes "strong emotional ties that develop between two persons where one person intermittently harasses, beats, threatens, abuses, or intimidates the other."

The solution is to get our representatives out of DC and back home, where they are surrounded by the people who elected them. They can participate in government business through VTC... maybe go to DC once or twice a year... but otherwise stay home. Our right to representation should not be violated just because the Democrats and their media sycophants know how to bully people into cooperation.

Yup. This is why I advocated very early, the defeat of Mitch McConnell one way or the other. And I was continually yelled at here on FR.

Their hands are covered in the eternal blood of the innocent.

they are as guilty as the Syrian snipers targeting pregnant women’s unborn for cigarettes.

I was told that if I didn't line up behind the Republicans and vote this fall that I was helping to advance Obama’s agenda. I said that it made no difference the Republicans wouldn't fight anyway but go along to get along with the Democrats. I was even had someone on this forum accuse me of not being a real conservative, he still posts frequently but he never comments on these threads.I wonder why.

Because it is MUCH better when Republicans push illegal amnesty, gun control, an out of control EPA, gay marriage, and endorsing Obama's lawlessness.

MUCH better.

This is why we have to remember that even though we have a majority ON PAPER, we have no such thing in reality. Most of these can be counted on to align with Democrats at nearly every turn. And usually McCain, too.

You just support El Presidente and Harry Roid! How dare you criticize the RINOs as being possibly worse by damaging and destroying the Republican brand with leftist dilutions.

Hi Bonehead,

May I assume that — since your “prediction” was “proved true” — you are really, really HAPPY now?

Well, I’m not happy!

I was working to elect a Senate with fewer RINOs and fewer goose-stepping Democrats, so — although I appreciate the progress we made in the 2014 election — it is clear we STILL have work to do in the 2016 election.

IMHO Conservatives need solid patriots to start their PRIMARY campaigns now to replace these RINO Senators:

Kelly Ayotte
Mark Kirk
Rob Portman

But THIS TIME, let’s NOT divide ourselves into mini-campaigns that make it easy for the Lindsay Graham types to defeat us.

If I figured correctly, that 3-Senator change would be enough to ensure the restoration of America, but we need to continue “liberating” other Senate seats now “held” by the Democrats.

And —Good riddance to Harry Reid!

For one thing. until the next election, his job is done. He is what is known in the meat packing industry as a judas goat. To wit: One who leads others to their slaughter. But have no fear, next election, he will be back again. Posting the same thing[s].

I think we all knew this when the Republicans re-elected Boehner and McCOnnell to their posts as head Lackeys to the Democrats.

Not by me. I prayed for the defeat of him and Boehner. They were working for the Democrats for a long time before the election. I saw no reason for them to change.

Sadly not surprising.
Similar case for dem’s power and control of state legislators even in states that swung red this past election cycle. Gay marriage, illegal immigrant drivers license, and pot legalization trends are an example that conservatism is losing sway.
This is why the call for state ammendment of the constitution is a very unwise idea at this time.
Though republicans may have had big victories across the country, regretably conservative ideology had far lesser gains.
We cannot currently trust politicians of any stripe to have their way with altering the constitution.
Democrats still largely call the shots by way of media, advocacy groups, business, unions, hollywood, foreign interests and big business influence agents.
This is not 1994 when the nation swung solidly conservative against Klinton, and we had great leaders of conviction (Gingrich, Barr, Helms, etc).
We have to first ensure we have enough solid conservatives in society before we can even consider touching the constitution.
That can be done with very provocative message marketing highlighting insane fiscal, monetary, military, immigration, justice department policies that threat our citizens and country’s future and freedom.
Conservatism and widespread rule of law must firmly be in place before we should even entertain the idea of opening up the constitution for ammendment.

The only very minimally bright spot for me is that I wasn’t fooled this time in the general election. I did not financially support the GOPe candidate for senate from North Carolina (Thom Tillis). I figured he was only marginally better than Kay Hagan. I have been suckered in the past, thus adding insult to injury when their true nature is exposed.
