The Bush dynasty is a negative for voters and Marco Rubio is seen as a leader of the future, as the Florida senator jumps to the head of the GOP pack. The Clinton dynasty is a plus -- and even though Hillary could have an honesty problem, she dominates the Democratic side. And both the Republican faithful (with their crowded field) and the Democratic faithful (with their sole favorite) are happy with their range of 2016 choices.
These are some of the findings from the latest Fox News poll on the 2016 presidential election. Here are some more:
Announcing your candidacy helps your poll numbers. Florida Sen. Marco Rubio receives a five percentage-point bump after his April 13 announcement and has the backing of 13 percent in the race for the Republican nomination -- just a touch over Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker who gets 12 percent among self-identified GOP primary voters. Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul comes in at 10 percent, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee earn 9 percent each and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz gets 8 percent.
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson each garner 6 percent. Last month Christie was at 4 percent and Carson at 11 percent.
White evangelical Christians are most likely to support Huckabee (13 percent), Paul (11 percent), Cruz and Rubio (10 percent each).
Top picks among the Tea Party include Walker (19 percent), Rubio (14 percent), Paul (13 percent), Huckabee and Cruz (10 percent each).

Oh Please
FOX “News” LIES every week for the Team Romney=Soros,
as they try to EXCLUDE Sen. Cruz.
Oh great, we have a bold conservative in Cruz and a decent choice in Scott Walker, but no we're going to nominate the backstabbing phony conservative Rubio!
Rubio and if not Rubio, then Jeb Bush. Just not any conservatives, please.
We?
Nope. Rubio is led by Team Romney=Soros, which
partners with Team Obama=Soros (no surprise).
Rubio on a scale from 1 to 10 is 7. I’ll vote for him, but I won’t campaign for him as I am doing for Cruz...
According to this poll Scott Walker not Marco Rubio is our best bet.
To be honest i think of the people running with a real chance Scott Walker is the best. Althou I would prefer Ted Cruz or Rick Perry, or even Rand Paul.
I can vote for Walker.
He’d make a fine student body president.
lol...
Sounds like Jeb Bush is sputtering; they should have known this before they got in the race.
Wait until we actually get into the debates.
Rubio’s ok. 2012 could have been his time.
I even wrote a letter to him in 2012 urging him to run against the oncoming disaster that was Romney. But he didn’t.
I’d like Ted Cruz to select Rubio as his running mate. Cruz/Rubio would win in a landslide. I really think when we get to the debates, if Cruz is going to take this thing, he’s going to outperform both Walker and Rubio.
The only interpretation I’d give of the Rubio bounce is that some of Jebbers supporters are getting nervous and starting to ditch him for Marco. But the base that Cruz is building (Tea Party, grassroots, evangelicals, etc) I don’t know how the other candidates are going to pick off his support once he gets it. It’s truly unlike anything I have seen on our side for some time.
Cruz/Rubio is the #1 GOP Ticket by far. Cruz breaks another rule of not ‘balancing’ the ticket and doubles down on the youth (like Clinton-Gore). Every single battleground state would be in play and favor the GOP.
I hate the fact the Democrats always start out with a huge electoral college advantage because New York, California, and Illinois are automatically in their column. Cruz/Rubio would be a good combo because it would be grassroots Cruz and establishment-acceptable Rubio, and it would make Florida much more winnable. Those three states I mentioned earlier have been destroyed by Democrats but the people there still keep voting for them. I hope Cruz or whoever the GOP nominee is can start making inroads in one of those states but especially in the big industrial states in the midwest and northeast like Ohio, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.
I’ll call it right now.
Cruz/Rubio would sweep the Southwest. CO (+5%), and (NV/NM) +3% at a minimum. FL would be in the bag, maybe a 6% win. PA would be close enough to get to a recount. We’d have a referendum on where VA stands because when conservatives run, they still win. OH, MI, WI, IA I’d see all those favoring the GOP, and even NH would be close, and that elusive 2nd Congressional Dist up in Maine might be in play.
OR would be closer than expected and those near 20%+ wins for Dems in the big blue states would by cut by at least 25% if not more.
In all, I see 338 EV’s for this ticket.
Time for the tagline again....
It’s all lying manipulation.
Jeb Bush's chances at winning are not as bright as they used to be, so the GOP's backup guy is Marco. He plays ball with McConnell and the Chamber of Cronies very well.
Perhaps.
Surely, the Dems will have a weak candidate, somewhere along the line, even some solid blue states could come back into play I think with the right team.
