And there will be none left unwounded. They will spend fortunes on primaries, be terribly wounded, and maybe the best will be left behind, and we’ll be stuck again with the establishment. Conservatism is fine, but they know that conservatives are perfectionists. Make me a list of the positive credentials of each conservative candidate, and then a list of their faults, and then ask yourself if you’d rather have that than any democratic candidate?

In fairness, most governors support policies like these — because they want wealthy foreigners to invest in their state.

To be even more fair here is a list of Governors opposed to wealthy foreigners investing in their state...

I’d much rather have rich, documented Chinese immigrants than tens of millions of undocumented, entitled, illegal masses from south of the “border.”

No one is forcing them to run. They know the risks of losing. I honestly do not understand while some of them even think they have a prayer’s chance in winning but heck, it is their choice.

There are quite a few of possible candidates that would be not much different than what we have now with the dems. With a repub Senate & House what has changed?

Conservatives are not perfectionists. If we were Ted Cruz wouldn’t be on the list either. But we do expect a candidate to be at least close to our beliefs on most issues. I do keep lists of all of the candidates. I have a Word file on my computer of most of them that I have been keeping for years. So I know the pros and cons and use that as a basis for choosing my favorite. Other people may choose candidates differently.

I choose the candidate closest to my beliefs. I don’t choose the lesser of two evils. And I don’t have loyalty to any party so that doesn’t enter into my decision either.

“What are the positives of Scott Walker?”

He is strong on the 2nd amendment. He is fiscally conservative and knows how to cut a budget.

He has been a good governor of WI and I’d like to keep him here. One of the reasons I didn’t want him to run was that I believe that the governorship will revert back to the dems. I do not think that Kleefisch can keep the seat.

There are a few things he has done while governor I haven’t agreed with (the arena being one of them) but for the most part I have been happy with the turn around in the state.

However he is weak in too many areas. Foreign policy is one of them. And he has been inconsistent on Common Core, immigration, abortion, gay marriage and Right to Work. He also has supported Paul Ryan’s budget and is closely aligned with Ryan and Priebus. I believe he is very loyal to the Republican party.

Since I believe that as a country we need strong governors who will stand up for state’s rights Walker can serve us better as a governor. There is still very much to do in WI. Especially when there is a more conservative candidate that I can find only one thing that I am more conservative than he is. So far.

And that is my honest reasoning on why I do not favor Scott Walker as POTUS.
