“expecting that the officer would take her down after disarming her, but I guess he felt that she was no longer a threat.”

He never perceived a threat. He just didn’t like her filming them. So against every court ruling on the topic, he goes over and smashes her phone. After smashing the phone, he never goes to examine it, or tries to detain her. There was no law enforcement purpose in his mind. He was a bully, and doesn’t think the public is his master.
He needs to be immediately fired.

How can you say such a thing? These officers were confronted by an unsupervised female (where was her husband?) who was pointing a metallic object in their direction and speaking in a very provocative tone.

Some of the women in this country are completely out of control. And, I guess it's our own damned fault for tolerating this kind of nonsense for so long.

But, like I said, I'm personally glad that these officers didn't shoot her. So, I think that we agree about the important part of this.
