Full title: U.S. Marshal Shown Rushing Woman and Smashing Her Cellphone To Stop Her Videotaping A Public Arrest...We have another video of a police officer destroying the cellphone of a citizen who is filming an arrest in clear violation of her constitutional rights. New reports indicate that the officer holding an automatic weapon in the videotape below who is seen charging the woman and smashing her phone on the ground is a United States Marshal in California.
The video shows the woman standing out of the way while filming an arrest. She is actually backing up when an officer rushes her, smashes the phone on the ground and then kicks it before walking away. Unfortunately for the officer there was a second person filming and the woman asks “Did you record that?” She did.

This is not law enforcement, this is pigs being pigs and making their own law on the streets; kinda like street gangs. Making life way to difficult for LEO’s doing their jobs out there..
The reality is that with the new Google Glasses....I’ll be able to view an episode....filming a cop event....and upload it in a second to a national audience. The day of doing something stupid and just getting away with it.....is finished.

Personally, I'm glad that he didn't shoot her and chose instead to risk his life by approaching her, but she's probably still walking the streets tonight.

I guess you didn’t notice those two other cops who were much much closer and DIDN’T go bully her.

He never perceived a threat. He just didn’t like her filming them. So against every court ruling on the topic, he goes over and smashes her phone. After smashing the phone, he never goes to examine it, or tries to detain her. There was no law enforcement purpose in his mind. He was a bully, and doesn’t think the public is his master.
He needs to be immediately fired.
How can you say such a thing? These officers were confronted by an unsupervised female (where was her husband?) who was pointing a metallic object in their direction and speaking in a very provocative tone.
Some of the women in this country are completely out of control. And, I guess it's our own damned fault for tolerating this kind of nonsense for so long.
But, like I said, I'm personally glad that these officers didn't shoot her. So, I think that we agree about the important part of this.
WTF are you prattling about? The only guns that are anything more than single shot, no sight, contact distance, novelties all look like guns. And you certainly wouldn't try shooting one of several heavily armed and armored SWAT guys with one.
Not unless you were aching for a dirt nap.
