What in God’s name did you expect the Polish people to do against the TWO Powerful Maniac forces that invaded Poland in 1939.....Nazi Germany and its former best friend Soviet Russia.... when they Co-Invaded Poland to exterminate Jews & Poles??
Poland had a WWII population of 32 million....while Nazi Germany which invaded Poland from the West had 80 million people while shortly after Nazi Germany’s 1939 Good friend Soviet Russia (had 140 million people) invaded Poland from the east. Tell me? How in God’s name was a nation like Poland suppose to stop the Anti-Jewish actions (and Anti-Polish actions) of two HUGE maniac nations....Nazi Germany and its former friend Soviet RuSSia who...made their Nazi German-RuSSian Molotov-Ribbentrop pact to invade and destroy Poland and all of its Jews and Poles??? You sound as if you think the Poles should have had some kind of superhuman powers to repel these two huge monster nations. You sound quite irrational and Anti-Polish.
Maybe caww is embarrassed by the fact that Nazism sprang forth from Lutheran-majority Germany. 2/3 of German Christians were Lutheran, and 1/3 Catholic.
There were ‘collaborators’ in each of the nations the Nazis occupied...the cooperation of others in the occupied countries was essential to carry out their deathly, murderous project....Additionally many Jews also informed on, profited from, and assisted in murdering, their fellow Jews. But ‘the War and program to rid Europe of all Jews’... was and remains entirely at the feet of Nazi Germany.
Polish citizens were not exempt from that collaboration....though they certainly have sensitivities when anyone mentions so. I get what Poland as a whole did and suffered....but there were plenty enough who assisted none the less.....I will not give them a free pass who did.
It relies on the assumption that the Polish people knew what was going on in the camps the Germans built in their territory, and your own myth that they could have done something about it.
I can accept the first assumption. Hundreds of thousands of Poles certainly did know what was going on in the camps, because they were there dying themselves. It is also plausible that others, outside of the camps, knew or suspected what was going on. But, as Cronos has comprehensively pointed out, the Poles were in no position to act or change the course of history. Nevertheless, many tried, and died or ended up in the camps themselves.
It is of course true, that in any sample of people you will find some truly evil individuals. So, no doubt, there were some Poles who actively sided with the Germans. Just like there were some Jews who, for whatever reason, did so as well.
But that's not what we are talking about here. The director of the FBI specifically grouped the Poles with the Germans and Hungarians in his statement. That is the issue here. He was wrong to do so, and you are wrong to continue defending this Obama appointee on this conservative website.
I did not say that...but that I will not give Poland citizens (Poland) exception to the facts that their citizens too were complicit in the Holocaust....nor will I play into their victim only sensitivity.

They do acknowledge that and many survivors spoke of it. From those in the Gettos to the camps. But as I said before...you really can’t compare them with people outside the camps. The life Jews lived inside has been well documented by the Jews and the Germans.
Naziisms roots are neither Catholic nor Protestant. Its roots are in mid 1800s race theories especially Darwinism. It is also rooted in post French revolution nationalism. They did not kill Jews because of their religion(because they also killed Catholics and Protestants and atheists who had Jewish blood) but based on race. They killed Poles and Russians calling them untermenschen because they were Slavic. This was not due to any group of Christians
Also the above anti-Semitic and anti-Slavic ideas of the Nazis showed how insane they were. They allied with other Semites namely Arabs and with other Slavs like Croats.
