U.S. cracks down on female teachers who sexually abuse students

A "Saturday Night Live" skit about a male student having sex with his female high school teacher painted the relationship as every teen boy's dream, but drew a firestorm of criticism on social media. The reaction to the comedy sketch reflected a growing view among law enforcement and victims' advocacy groups that it is no laughing matter when a woman educator preys on her male students. In U.S. schools last year, almost 800 school employees were prosecuted for sexual assault, nearly a third of them women. The proportion of women facing charges seems to be higher than in years past, when female teachers often got a pass, said Terry Abbott, a former chief of staff at the U.S. Department of Education, who tracked the cases.

What teen boys want to do and what is good for them is typically diametrically opposed.

I am not prepared to go full inquisition on a female teacher who has sex with a 17 or 18 year old but....Sexual activity at a young age, especially with an older woman, will lead to a great deal more sexual activity before a man gets married, if he ever does. While the Lothario legend is what most men think they want it warps your relationships with women and if that man does ever get married the fact that all his previous relations were predicated on constant sex will create unrealistic expectations of his wife which will be a great strain on the marriage. If he doesn’t get married he will keep chasing tail until he is the creepy old guy in the bar, unable to maintain the old lifestyle, unmarriageable, and unhappy.

My friends and I grew up with no religious admonitions against premarital sex, only warnings about kids and diseases. When guys I knew were having sex at 14 and 15 we all thought it was great. Now I have seen plenty of both scenarios I describe.

In the 1960s, I knew of two female teachers at two different small schools who had affairs with senior high boys, more than one or two senior high boys. Neither teacher was ever found out because the boys did not discuss things beyond close friends.

None of the boys were harmed psychologically and all became responsible citizens, had families and several served in the military. The notion that an affair with a teacher will cause some long-term harm to a boy 16-18 is feminist nonsense. This hysteria is, like several other hysterias, is caused by the feminist nonsense that there is little or no difference between males and females, and they seek to have an affair involving an older woman treated as if it is as serious and damaging as older male teacher/high school girl. It isn’t.

I think teachers who have affairs with students should be fired, but I also don’t buy the feminist push to have everything concerning males and females to be treated the same.

Making it with a hot teacher was the subject of much discussion in the back of the ole' yellow bus when I was in high school. I doubt that was anything other than human nature for 17 YO's fixing to be drafted upon graduation ( 1960's).

Beyond that has anyone else noticed that when we were young we were told to go to a cop, a teacher or a preacher whenever we had a problem. Now all of those professions are being villified and we are being told the solution is to go to a government agency.

These women are losers by any definition.

Chances are they decided to teach mainly because they didn’t become what they thought they would become and so decided to teach.

Now they see these cute boys and since they have the maturity of teens, they prey on these young men who should be relaxed and have their whole futures ahead of them.

Then they don’t want to be discarded and left behind, so they end up basically miserable and resentful.

I do think these predators want to attach themselves to a man who is going somewhere and want to be carried and taken care of.

Throw in the fact that for women, there is no such thing as a no-strings attached relationship and it’s a toxic mix.

You are right. Also dopes make the assumption that the teacher is going to be a normal “lover” and treat the kid with respect like a girlfriend. Hardly. It is a sex object thing and the power in the relationship is a tad uneven and wide open for abuse.

There was one female who was a little too flirtatious in everyone’s opinion, but she never got any takers while I was there. That I know of.
