Country fans were outraged and on April 16, Currington announced he was pulling out of the concert.
According to the International Business Times (IBI), the gun control concert got the wrong kind of exposure when Breitbart News reported that concert beneficiary Sandy Hook Promise is a vehicle through which various relatives of Sandy Hook victims have joined to push gun control until it passes.
Currington announced his decision to pull out via Facebook:

Did you see where McGraw’s daughter had to take down her facebook pages showing her holding guns? McGraw in an ass. I don’t like country music so I can’t pull any support.

Your memory is serving well.
Roy was a firm believer in our 2nd Amendment Rights, and in fact appeared in TV commercials as an NRA spokesman, opposing a proposed gun ban in California.

Maybe he can bring the Dixie Chicks with him.
By the way did they disband, haven’t anything about them in years.

Except for him and his family. I had a professor at my work place make the statement to my face they just need to ban all guns and stop people from owning them, except for me I might need mine, I’m responsible with mine. I just rolled my eyes and walked off, not worth the effort.

Wonder how many fans of McGraw, hunt and own guns for hunting and for self defense?
If they have any brains and common sense, they should boycott McGraw until he fades into oblivion.

“McGraw also supports obama and hillary!”
That makes 3 strikes for him when you add his left wing gun control fascism to his political left wingery.

“Anything out of Nashtown is queer.”
My oldest friend was an audio engineer in Nashville. He’s now retired. He worked at TNN from before it went on the air to when it closed, then he went independent. He tells me that shortly after TNN’s demise, all control shifted to New York City. All his work orders for years, came from NYC. That should tell you something!
