Egypt Tells Israel to 'Trust in God' and Bomb Iran
Christian Headlines ^ | April 14, 2015 | Carrie Dedrick

Influential Egyptian TV personality Tawfik Okasha has reportedly told Israel to bomb Iran. Addressing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as a “dear friend,” Okasha said that Israel should bomb the Bushehr Nuclear Reactor, Breaking Christian News reports.

"Put your trust in God and bomb it. We are with you and if you need fuel for the jets, we will give it to you,” Okasha said.

Netanyahu said Okasha’s words are proof Egypt cannot be trusted.

"In the last few days, Iran has shown again why it can't be trusted," Netanyahu said.

According to Breaking Christian News, the Israeli Prime Minister does not approve of the nuclear deal.

"Iran insists on maintaining its formidable nuclear capabilities with which it could produce nuclear bombs. Iran insists on removing all sanctions immediately. And Iran refuses to allow effective inspections of all its suspect facilities. At the same time, Iran continues its unbridled aggression in the region and its terrorism throughout the world," Netanyahu said in a statement.

"We must not let Iran, the foremost sponsor of global terrorism, have an easy path to nuclear weapons which will threaten the entire world," he continued.

That suggestion is not without merit, I’m sure the good Prime Minister is aware.

Frankly, that is what most of us would strongly suggest as well.

Beyond that, I wouldn’t expect Netanyahu to show his cards publically anyway. The element of surprise is always an advantage.

If this were a sane world what would happen is Iran would receive a couple of visitors from Fulton Missouri, after which more visitors from Israel would arrive unimpeded.

“This is a lot like George Stephanopolous saying “bomb Canada”. “

If that happened George Stroumboulopoulos would declare war and sick Don Cherry and Ron MacLean on us.

I’m disappointed that ‘W’ didn’t take care of this problem.

Bush could have nuked Iran Syria and closed every Mosque down in the USA on 9/12 and everybody would have said RIGHT ON. Instead he told US, “Islam is a religion of peace”. You could have put a fork in it right there.

Good quote from Ezekiel. I’m going to use that one.

Surprisingly enough, Egypt has been holding the line on the Palestinians on the west end of Gaza, blowing up the Pali’s smuggling tunnels, going after their Sinai hiding places, etc.

Granted, they’re not up to our level in ability and equipment, but especially under al-Sisi they’re better than I thought they’d be.

I’ve never seen a picture of an Egyptian F-15. Will have to look.

Sounds like it fits in with Bible prophecy.

Isaiah 19:16-25

In that day the Egyptians will be like women, and tremble with fear before the hand that the Lord of hosts shakes over them. 17 And the land of Judah will become a terror to the Egyptians. Everyone to whom it is mentioned will fear because of the purpose that the Lord of hosts has purposed against them.

18 In that day there will be five cities in the land of Egypt that speak the language of Canaan and swear allegiance to the Lord of hosts. One of these will be called the City of Destruction.

19 In that day there will be an altar to the Lord in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar to the Lord at its border. 20 It will be a sign and a witness to the Lord of hosts in the land of Egypt. When they cry to the Lord because of oppressors, he will send them a savior and defender, and deliver them. 21 And the Lord will make himself known to the Egyptians, and the Egyptians will know the Lord in that day and worship with sacrifice and offering, and they will make vows to the Lord and perform them. 22 And the Lord will strike Egypt, striking and healing, and they will return to the Lord, and he will listen to their pleas for mercy and heal them.

23 In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria, and Assyria will come into Egypt, and Egypt into Assyria, and the Egyptians will worship with the Assyrians.

24 In that day Israel will be the third with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing in the midst of the earth, 25 whom the Lord of hosts has blessed, saying, “Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel my inheritance.”

Don’t you just love the bible?!

There are some pieces in there that require putting together, but the players Assyria, Egypt, and Israel all appear, and it certainly has no historical context that I can think of. It’s clearly futuristic.

Egypt does not have F-15s. They requested some strike eagles (the ground attack version of F-15 — F-15 is really an air superiority plane and not that great compared to the Viper) probably 10 years ago, but the request was denied.

Nor do they have much in the way of refueling capability. Some. Not much.

To my knowledge, the only users are the USA, Saudi, Israel, and Japan.

Egypt does have a very substantial fleet of F16s.

Saudi could do a strike on Iran, and may yet. In fact, it might be in the best position to do so.

I think Egypt has been rather annoyed by Gaza Palestinian behavior on their border. I think they have also cooperated with Israel on related matters. It is hard for us to understand the depth of hatred between devout Shia an Sunni. We no longer remember the depth of hatred between Catholics and Protestants four and five hundred years ago, which is why our Founding Fathers tried to keep religion out of our government.

You know, I have to apologize. When I went looking to verify “Egyptian F-15”, I typed “Saudi Arabian F-15”. And then when I looked at it, I had Egypt on my brain even when I was reading about Saudi Air Force.

Major Brain Fart and I hope it isn't an indication of my slipping into dementia.

Then again, didn’t Obama threaten to shoot down Israeli planes attacking Iran?

Would our Air Force follow those orders?

No problem., My first instinct was that you had confused Saudi Arabia with Egypt. The Saudis wanted special bomb racks for the F-15, as I recall, but were denied. That was many, many years ago. Perhaps before even the F-15S was being built as a special model. Can’t recall.

Don’t know what the current status is.
