The world is blowing up, the U.S. economy is still in the pits, and the administration is demonstrating an incompetence rare even for Washington. So, naturally, the president has turned his attention to the pressing issue of transgender rights.
It is vital that transgender people get to use the bathroom of their choice and that nobody rag on them, or make fun of them, or ignore them.
Valerie Jarrett wrote the press release:
In a statement that was posted on Wednesday evening alongside a WhiteHouse.gov petition begun in honor of Ms. Alcorn, Mr. Obama condemned the practice, sometimes called “conversion” or “reparative” therapy, which is supported by some socially conservative organizations and religious doctors.
The petition has received more than 120,000 signatures in three months. We share your concern about its potentially devastating effects on the lives of transgender as well as gay, lesbian, bisexual and queer youth,” the statement, written by Valerie Jarrett, a senior adviser to Mr. Obama, says. “As part of our dedication to protecting America’s youth, this administration supports efforts to ban the use of conversion therapy for minors.”
In an interview on Wednesday, Ms. Jarrett said Mr. Obama had been moved by the story of Ms. Alcorn’s suicide. But she said the problem went far beyond Ms. Alcorn. “It was tragic, but I will tell you, unfortunately, she has a lot of company,” Ms. Jarrett said. “It’s not the story of one young person. It is the story of countless young people who have been subjected to this.”
The efficacy of gay conversion therpay is not the issue. The question is, why in the wide, wide world of sports is the federal government getting involved with this issue?

Tsk, tsk, tsk.........be careful there. The American Psychiatric Association reclassified homosexuality as a ‘variation on normal’. No longer a mental illness. My (former) Lib friend (a psychologist) who clued me in was fully behind this reclassification. My reaction was ‘what’s ‘normal’ about it’???

Priorities, priorities ......
This man is so superficial that he shows the affinities that have ruled his life. How about the kids who are looking for the guidance of the ‘gay conversion’ therapy? How about them? This creep is trying to keep all the confused people aligned with the homosexual agenda and not let them possibly get a shot at straightening out. The conversion therapy should be available but not mandatory, but that’s not what the homosexuals want. They don’t want their ranks reduced, flat out!

Yeah, and a lot of really important scientists with alphabets after their name say we are causing “global warming” by spewing CO2, even though CO2 is a lagging indicator, not a cause.

Homosexuals always focus on homosexuality above all else.
It’s really seen as devilish, once we have laughed at the possible similes. It’s something more forceful than what we might know as “just bad morals.” Which is also why “morality” isn’t the answer to this.
I am going to posit that the only ones who will really be able to deal with this will be those who have, through the power bestowed through being born again, vanquished the demonic forces behind such evil challenges. It’s the familiar Ephesians 6 drill. The love of God can and will cut through the junk. But it needs to be given a chance. Not even God will stuff love down the throats of the unwilling.
One can quibble about the exact best way to carry on such counseling but the need for it is unequivocal. This really is Obama being a dog in the manger.

So Mr’s Jarret, those queers who commit suicide who’s parents SUPPORTED their mental illness and sinful lifestyle choice should blame who for their suicide? The Gay community? So we’re going to pass a law to ban gay people from encouraging kids to become now, right? Since Gay people and the gay agenda CLEARLY are the cause of people committing suicide since their parents certainty can’t be to blame since they supported their kid’s sinful lifestyle
