Quinnipiac: ‘It’s Virtually the Entire GOP Field That Is Running Better Against Her’

Oh, Look Who’s Suddenly Tied With Hillary… Just About Everybody!

D.C. Conventional Wisdom: “Hillary’s unstoppable, Republicans begin with giant disadvantages, Rand Paul is this wacko Libertarian fruitcake, and he could never wiiiii -WHA?”

>>>>Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s lead is wilting against leading Republican presidential candidates in three critical swing states, Colorado, Iowa and Virginia, and she finds herself in a close race with U.S. Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky in each state, according to a Quinnipiac University Swing State Poll released today. In head-to-head matchups, every Republican candidate effectively ties her in Colorado and almost all Republicans effectively tie her in Iowa.<<<<

Paul Begala and everybody who insisted “voters do not give a [hoot]” about the e-mail story are invited to enjoy a big glass of shut the heck up.

>>>> “These numbers are a boost for U.S. Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky as he formally launches his campaign,” said Peter A. Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll.

“Ominous for Hillary Clinton is the broad scope of the movement today compared to her showing in Quinnipiac University’s mid-February survey. It isn’t just one or two Republicans who are stepping up; it’s virtually the entire GOP field that is running better against her.

“That’s why it is difficult to see Secretary Clinton’s slippage as anything other than a further toll on her image from the furor over her e-mail.”

“In all three of these states, more, and in Colorado many more, registered voters say she is not honest and trustworthy,” Brown added. “Voters do think she is a strong leader – a key metric – but unless she can change the honesty perception, running as a competent but dishonest candidate has serious potential problems.” <<<<

Yes, it’s early, other polls may show different results, and all standard caveats.

Colorado

In the presidential race in Colorado, Paul gets 44 percent to Clinton's 41 percent and other Republicans are effectively tied as well:

U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida gets 41 percent to Clinton's 40 percent;

She ties former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee 41 - 41 percent;

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker gets 42 percent to her 41 percent;

Clinton gets 42 percent to 41 percent for U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas;

She gets 41 percent to Bush's 38 percent;

Clinton gets 41 percent to 39 percent for New Jersey Gov. Christopher Christie."...... Poll

In retrospect, given what we know now about the Clinton Foundation raking in big
bucks while Hillary was privvy to US ntl security secrets, her well-rehearsed post-
Benghazi performance before Congress is straight out of a Shakespearean playbook.

"Methinks she protesteth too much."

Hillary shoulda got the Drama Award for that performance.

We might be whistling past the graveyard here. (Bill) Clinton won with 43.0% of the vote in 1992.

Like practiced criminals, the opportunistic Clintons are lying in wait-—waiting for Republicans to overreach.

They then surface—recasting themselves as “unfortunate put-upon victims” ...... being pilloried by evil Republicans.

Much as I hate to admit it——the Clintons have always been saved BY THEIR ENEMIES.

Repubs need to be very very smart....they should leave the heavy lifting to others...attacks against the sleazy Clintons need to be couched in artful terms.

The only possible purpose for Hillary to have a private email system (which she "said" was in Chappaqua) was to prevent federal record-keepers from archiving her emails by law..... and to prevent reporters, historians, and American citizens from knowing what she did w/ ntl security secrets.

Lemmeeee see....what did Hillary do w/ ntl security secrets? I'll just take a wild guess:

"Smile everybody. Another $100 million came in today."

See, this is CLEAR evidence that Cruz can win. As for the others, they will do fine in polls til her attack machine ramps up on them. Then, they will be McCained/Romneyed. They won't fight back. Perhaps Paul will . . . some. Perhaps Walker will---dunno, national politics quite different than state politics, as Romney learned.

From the get go you have to have your mind made up that you must CRUSH this witch, that the media won't help, and that you will be ruthless.

I know people who thought Romney would be ruthless based on his treatment of other Republicans, and I said, "No, he won't be that way with Zero."

Smile everybody! Yeah, people in showbiz who get photographed a lot are trained to smile constantly in case someone snaps a shot. I heard this in-person from a grammy-award winning musician who lives his life with a frozen smile. If I tell you he is Canada’s polka king, will you scoff at the information? Don’t. It’s true. And you can bet Rodham has better trainers than him... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walter_Ostanek

As an observation of past performance, the media will marginalize Cruz.

Eventually, they will not speak of him.

He will be ignored in debates or the questions directed to him by the demcoRAT moderators will either be non-sequitur or loaded in such a way as to make him look bad/foolish.

Whether he can overcome this built in negative bias remains to be seen.

“The issue is never the issue. The issue is always the revolution.”

Dividing people [conquer] to build a stronger power base is what the Left does.
