NYT Writer: Christians ‘Must Be Made’ to Embrace Gay Lifestyle
Brietbart ^ | April 8, 2015 | Thomas D. Williams

In the wake of the Indiana donnybrook over religious liberty, which somehow was transformed overnight into a question of gay rights, it couldn’t be long before the New York Times weighed in against Christians.

Yet who could have expected the draconian measures the Times would propose? Either Christians fully embrace the gay lifestyle, or you will be coerced into doing so.

>> “It is getting close to the real reset time folks.” <<

Like this?

Matthew 24:22

“And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.”

There is no doubt we Christians are being persecuted. I hope and pray that Jesus will allow me to fight with him during the battle of Armageddon.

IIRC Ann Coulter is reported to have said “My only regret with Timothy McVeigh is he did not go to the New York Times Building.” I see her point.

The only way out of this mess is to recognize that church and state are separate.

Wrong. The separateness of church and state does not prevent the state from decreeing that "free exercise of religion" is limited to freedom of worship, and that in all domains outside the physical precincts of a parish or monastery the laws of the state trump any claim of any claim of religious conscience and compel believers to act against the moral teachings of their religion. In fact, the mess is created precisely by that interpretation of the separation of church and state.

We are there now!

Who is teaching sound doctrine? Who is teaching as Luke described Paul’s teaching in Acts? (almost nobody)

Hey Frank:

We’re here.

We’re straight.

And we are not going anywhere.

Whether they're Christians or not, religious or non-religious, it's going to be very difficult for the assembled proponents of homosexuality to convince many people that sticking one's sexual appendage in a place it's not meant to be stuck is normal. Never going to happen.

Because the bald facts are homosexuality is a highly abnormal behavior. If hormones are not administered properly to women during pregnancy, homosexuality can result. The conclusion: if hormones are delivered properly, you won't have homosexuals.

What does that tell us? It tells us if we can find a way to make sure pregnant females hormones don't get messed up, we won't have homosexuals. End of story.

Then I’m not sure how you don’t run into the situation of trying to have your cake and eat it too, so to speak. I found Frank Bruni’s article, he is going after theology directly saying that sodomy “needs to be crossed off the list of sins”. There are some things that can be managed by committee meeting, but inspired text is not one of those things.

Pretty picture, but not so sure how well it depicts the fundamental salvation mission of Christendom.

Well, Jesus wields a sword.

His angels wield swords.

He instructed his disciples to sell their spare garments to buy a sword.

Christians in many parts of the world refused that instruction and took the pacifist path.

Those Christian communities were exterminated. They no longer exist.

Conversely, the Christians nations who took up the sword when necessary, survive to this day. And those nations have been the platform from which the preaching of the Good News has gone out to the whole world.

The usual phrase for what you call “having your cake and eating it too” is freedom of conscience, or in less high-falutin’ language, “live and let live”, or what the English word tolerance meant before the Newspeak version of the word turned into a club to wield against Christians.

"Bruni cites fellow gay activist Mitchell Gold, founder of the advocacy group Faith in America, as saying that church leaders must be made to take the homosexuality off the sin list."

Church leaders pay attention. This is the purpose of gay marriage.

“Indiana donnybrook”

It wasn’t a donnybrook, it was a mugging.
