I am hoping for McCain, McConnell or Boehner.

(Do I need a sign?)

It is good that Cruz announced first. Now any and all the Johnny-come-latelys will immediately be compared to Ted Cruz. They’ll need to get over that hurdle before getting any traction at all on the campaign trail.

Need I say more?

I’m thinking if Rubio, Jeb, and Walker all run, they split the centrists. Cruz has the conservatives pretty much locked. I don’t see Rand getting traction unless he jumps hard on non-Republicans in open primaries.

The race is now Cruz’s to lose.

Rand wont get any traction.

The best thing Rand can do it to continuously attack Bush and help rid us of the Bush’s once and for all.

Perhaps this is a stupid thought. Could Rand Paul and Ted Cruz be working together in this to outsmart the Rhinos and the Dems? I mean if Rand jumps into the race then all the votes from Libertarians and a few Democrats jump in to support Rand. Then further down the road, Rand drops out seeing that Cruz is ahead, and tells his supporter to join Ted Cruz bandwagon. Just a crazy thought.

Rand could well get traction, especially in the “open” primaries, if Hillary doesn’t get a viable challenger.

Rand could well get traction,

**********

He should have the Ron Paul contengent the day he officially announces.
They’ll make a lot noise whether Rand gets very far or not.

Ron Paul.

I want a Paul vs. Paul showdown. Settle once and for all who is the “Mayor of Kooksville”.

“Now any and all the Johnny-come-latelys....”

That reminds me of the part from “O Brother Where Art Thou” where the governor’s aides are debating whether to get a midget of their own to compete against the Stokes’ campaign, and the governor says:

“We’d look like a bunch of Johnny-come-latelies, bragging on our own midget, doesn’t matter how stumpy.”

Not a crazy thought at all.

I personally think Paul can pull people away from voting Dem ever again.

I do not, nor would I support Paul as either the GOP’s Presidential nominee or as V.P.

I see Paul as someone that can wake up the zombies in the middle.

IMHO, Paul should run as either an Independent or as a third Party Libertarian. And then do exactly what you have suggested, through his support to Cruz.

I’ve suggested this on numerous FR threads and there seems to be at least one person here that would rather attack me, stalk me, accuse me of being a libertarian rather than consider the bigger political picture.

Let’s go Jeb Bush!!!!

...what, do I really need the /sarc tag?

So far I really like Walker, Cruz, and Paul, and I will vote for any combination thereof.

I agree I myself would never support Rand, but I’m glad I’m not alone thinking this. For me Cruz is my man =)
