GOV JERRY BROWN: CALIFORNIANS TO BE HEAVILY FINED FOR LONG SHOWERS
Breitbart ^ | April 5, 2015 | Pam Key

Posted on 04/05/2015 3:36:45 PM PDT by MeshugeMikey

Sunday on ABC’s “This Week,” Gov. Jerry Brown (D-CA) said Californians will face heavy fines for taking long showers.

Brown said, “This executive order is done under emergency power. It has the force of law. Very unusual. It’s requiring action and changes in behavior from the Oregon border all the way to the Mexican border. It affects lawns. It affects people’s — how long they stay in the shower. How businesses use water.”

Brown said to enforce his order, “Each water district that actually delivers waters — water to homes and businesses, they carry it out. We have a state water board that overseas the relationships with the districts. Hundreds of them. If they don’t comply, people can be fined $500 a day. Districts can go to court to get a cease and desist order. The enforcement mechanism is powerful. In a drought of this magnitude, you have to change that behavior and you have to change it substantially.”

Moonbean, get the hell out of my face. You turd should have been working on desalination instead of that stupid high speed rail. Typical conduct of the communists Democrats that do nothing to keep us in water. Look what they have done to farmers in northern California. Fire all the ars holes.

Perhaps a new invention I just came up with would help with the showers:

After the first (unspecified) time period where the water goes down the drain, it switches into the recirculate mode with a re-heater and reuses the water for as long as you would like.

If only we could convince them that desalinization was gay ... then they would demand we accept desalinization.

Typical rat ploy, but will he do the same for the chicanos and the blacks in urban nieghborhoods? The jail system inmates run cold water constant in thier cells to keep thier food cold. How do you fine someone on public assitance? and does that person really care? Again its those who are working that will be punished becuase they can pay the fine

...... Sure would have been nice if over the past 40 years .... if the State of California could have actually built at least one more reservoir or developed a few Desalination Plants to alleviate the water supply situation!

..... But nope ...... That wouldn't lead to this eventual catastrophic crisis that will result in the prime Liberal opportunity and objective of instituting MORE orgasmic progressive massive Government control over the peoples lives that Democrats crave.

The air boards will fine you for not controlling dust. The water district will fine you for your dust control activities.

Yes, I understand completely. Also, with more people and less rain; they have created their own self-made crises. And of course a crises means more government command and control, more regulations, more campaign contributions from those who want to avoid the regulations and so forth.

Oh no. If the drought causes the pot growers to go out of business, we are talking millions of pot users going cold turkey. Not going to be a pretty sight.

It’s always about the money...

Money and power, which are two ends of the same stick.
