Indiana lawmakers announce deal to update religious freedom law

Indiana lawmakers announced Thursday morning that they had reached a deal to update the state's controversial religious freedom law so that it states the law cannot be used to discriminate against anyone, including gay and lesbian customers......

language in the legislation states that the law does not, "Authorize a provider to refuse to offer or provide services, facilities, use of public accommodations, goods, employment, or housing [based on] sexual orientation, gender identity, or United States military service."

The references to "sexual orientation" or "gender identity" are the first to appear in an Indiana law.

That would be okay to do it registered, but I assume people are writing checks ... so they know whether it got there or not. The one thing I wouldn’t do is have it be a signed receipt, as that would probably delay delivery. Can you imagine having to sign all those? ... :-) ...

Why so? Everything I’ve seen was pretty positive and points to why he lost reelection.

CAVE

Exactly. Churches are public places of worship. So if I read this right churches, synagogues and mosques must do gay marriages.

Indiana should have stayed with the original language and not caved to the Homosexual/Liberal/Progressive/Mainstream cabal.

This is worse than a capitulation! It creates homosexuality as a protected category under Indiana law!

Not to mention how foolish Pence looked on George Stephanopolis’s program repeatedly refusing to answer a straightforward question.

It has the exact opposite effect of the original law - it enshrines sexual identity as protected.

For the left, that is the “good” it does.

For the Christian business owner, it shackles their faith to the whims of the homosexuals.

The same Allen West who voted to support Obama with the indefinite detention without trials of Americans? (NDAA 2011)

The same Allen West who voted to support Obama with the redistribution of wealth to the Black Caucus? (Pigford USDA)

The same Allen West who has been shown every bit of data on Obama’s ineligibility, but will not do anything because “I want a future in politics”?

THAT Allen West?

Well, hey, if they approve the new language...
...Angie's List, El i Lilly, Anthem, inc. ... all those companies that were attacking the Religious Freedom Restoration Act ...
...if all the polygamists move to Indiana...then those companies can't discriminate on the basis of a polygamist's "sexual orientation" and would have to provide insurance benefits to all of those partners.

These companies and the leftists are also legalizing/institutionalizing polygamy without the polygamists having to lift a finger!
