I've just about given up on America. My hope is to teach my kids so they can maintain decency in an evil world. We're educating them, teaching them about God, decency, Western culture, beauty, and truth. My fear is they'll inherit an Idiocracy at best, and a Satanic theocracy at worst. We're on the road to both. God will not be surprised by it either way.
Nothing in the political process gives me any hope. Nothing. Not even Ted Cruz because he still has faith in the political system. Even when he gets bounced out of the primary by the GOPe, he'll still be as optimistic as ever about democracy. He just doesn't get it. The homosexuals will successfully kill the bill in Indiana, and the bill in Arkansas will probably die today. A similar bill died in Kansas. What did these bills do? They upheld a Christian's right to conscious. Nobody was hurt by the bills. They were lied about by one side, and not defended by the other. Ted Cruz sees this as an environment in which our liberty can be restored?
We can see all of this. We're not corrupted by it. We're not sitting against the wall of Plato's allegorical cave deciphering forms and shadows. We see things as they are. We known something radical has to happen to make the country something we'd like to leave our kids with.
What are we going to do? What will organize us?
One must learn to fight or go under. Since the the 1950’s the Third World and its masters have waged war against the West and all of its institutions.
I think the best thing to do is to pray for the eventual breakup of the country, and the preservation of some form of a smaller constitutional republic to emerge from it.
America is irretrievably broken. It can’t survive intact anymore.
Put your trust in God. Teach your children to ride, shoot, and tell the truth. Help the develop some pre-electricity skills as well.
Teach your kids and grandkids right from wrong, how to be moral and ethical, and how to survive in the face of evil.
And pray that someday the pendulum swings back from the edge of insanity.
When our votes don’t work (and they don’t) there is but one option.
Not a pleasant one, but one which is necessary.
We have to be God’s remnant no matter what happens to our once beloved country.
Oh. And keep your children away from public schools. They will do their very best to undo everything you are trying to do.
Politically? Nothing. There is no hope. Even when America was a great and prosperous nation, it was wise then - and even moreso now- to remember that our hope is not in any man-made organization (Nation). Our hope is in Christ alone. And if God is truly merciful and loving (and He is) then he will correct the evilness that is America and punish the wicked.
But until then, I've got a far greater guarantee of a land that will never see decay.

Problem is, there ain't a Patriot in America today willing to exercise that option. That would require far too much sacrifice for anyone to handle. Somehow, we're "different" from the Founders. Never mind that they had families, jobs, businesses, property, etc. The difference between them and us is that they had huge balls of brass and were willing to sacrifice. We aren't.
I was feeling much the way you describe a few years ago.
I quit following the news, especially politics for a couple of years.
I spent that time reconnecting to all the things I had pushed to the back burner.
I’ve mostly divested myself from all the outside noise now.
It really worked for me.
Similar and understandable thoughts were being voiced during the Carter administration. It is remarkable how things can turn around. With this narcissistic community organizing lying inept anti-Semitic racist in charge, things look dark. Americans are resilient. I’m not a Pollyanna, but look at the fine people around still going. Just imagine.......
Good question for Easter-time. Remembering how Jesus suffered may help console you in your suffering. Keep in mind the advance of the gay-agenda is not much compared to being thrown to the lions.
Christians were persecuted for hundreds of years and, in fact, are still persecuted by muslims outside of the U.S..
Putting aside political advice or calls to arms, as a family activity over Easter, maybe you could find some good books on Church history and try to relate it to today w/your family.
Early Christians took some consolation in the Book of Revelations as well, but might be too esoteric of a study for kids.
Note, my lion comment doesn’t mean I think Jesus was thrown to the lions. Early Christians were. That line was probably more appropriate for the subsequent paragraph.
What burns in me is that we are heading to the lions. The homosexuals would already have us in the Colosseum if they could. We still have enough power to stop it. The early Christians couldn’t stop the Romans.
You’ve got lots of good information already; teach your children well, etc. I would add in not to get too upset with them if they do something foolish [that’s more directed to me than anyone else].
The most important thing we can do is return to God. Not just on Sundays, but every day. Not just for ten minutes here or there, but for large chunks of time. How much time does one spend on Free Republic or other haunts online? Spend half of it in church instead. Offer to keep the doors open so others might come in too and pray. If Jesus sees enough people begging Him, He will help us out. But we must never lose hope in Him. And sometimes that can happen, but don’t let it. Pray.... fast.... repent....
God has never needed a majority here, an earnest core of believers is all he has ever needed.
To the degree this country is saved, and save-able, it is family by family. You are doing the right thing; lead your family. Look up, let God lead you, and lead your family.
We are beyond politics. A storm is coming. Make sure your family knows where to turn as their world unravels and turns on them. You will be the stabilizing influence not only for them but for the people around you in your corner of the globe.
Remember Winston Churchill : We will fight on the beaches, in the fields, etc. = Get involved at your local or regional level.
Talk with the local school boards, town councils , county commissioners, fire department Board of Directors, etc. & managers. Then support good people or run yourself locally.
Same for state and federal offices; catching the politicians & their staff when they are the most open = running for office, looking for money, volunteers, etc.
The difference is not with us. It is with our leaders. The founding fathers treated politics as a part-time job, not as a career.
Dialog...three words.
