Insurgent co-star Shailene Woodley is cementing her reputation as a modern-day hippy. The actress, who recently attended a premiere for the aforementioned film barefoot, has now disclosed she likes to eat insects.
While answering a series of questions for Nylon Magazines 16th anniversary, Woodley, 23, disclosed her lifestyle choices, answering questions about her favorite color, her dreams, and yes, her unusual diet.
Ive eaten ants and that was great, uh, and June bugs that was great, she said eagerly. I think the future of food is in insects, so well see what happens.
Woodley doesnt just eat bugs, though, as she told the mag she also likes to eat pigs feet: I had pigs feet in Spain a few months ago and that was awesome. Theyre so gelatinous and felt great for my stomach.
The actress also admitted she will absolutely never plant a genetically engineered seed, after stating: If I could, I would grow a pair of wings and fly.
Woodley grabbed headlines last week after she was photographed walking down a New York City sidewalk without shoes.

Oh, man. Actors have always been stupid but this new generation takes the cake.
More protein than beef. We had some in Thailand. Also,I had tarantula in Cambodia in garlic and oil.
She can come here and eat all of the fire ants she can hold. I’m betting fire ants will change her way of thinking.
How was she? Haven’t talked to her in years.
I had lunch at an Italian buffet a few years ago, and I detected something with a faint garlic/butter taste and a crunchy texture in the marinara sauce. It tastes like a bit of garlic bread, I thought, but when I spit it out, it was a roach!
She’s not dead only her career!
Every single bite of food you put in your mouth has been genetically engineered. Every single one.
What?, No GHat.
I don’t see what the problem is. The Whizzo Chocolate Company has been doing this for years. Try the lambs bladder cup!
Wow! Sounds like a Reese’s Feces Cup!!
Very funny!
Meal worms never get a fair shake!
NOT GUILTY !
I’ve actually eaten fried salted grasshoppers and they are great!
June bugs are the food of the future, but only a few months.
I’m pretty sure the fried squirrel last night wasn’t.
But if she wants to sprout wings she should take another look at genetic engineering.
Insects are just crabs and lobsters on a smaller scale.
When I was in high school (a very long time ago) the fad was chocolate covered ants and fried grasshoppers.
