Apple’s Tim Cook is dangerous and a flaming hypocrite
Red State ^ | 03/30/2015 | By: streiff (Diary)

Posted on 03/30/2015 1:35:15 PM PDT by Responsibility2nd

Ordinarily I wouldn’t concern myself with what some billionaire far-left oligarch thinks. Usually, they don’t think about much beyond making money and having millions of people they neither know or respect suck up to them. Apple’s Steve Jobs made a career of this type of self-important asshattery. His successor, Tim Cook is no different.

Weighing in on the Indiana RFRA law signed by Governor Mike Pence last week, Cook has demonstrated he is not only has distinctly fascistic tendencies (part of the whole billionaire far-left oligarch thing) and scarcely as passing knowledge of the US Constitution and the issue at hand but he is a flaming left-wing hypocrite in the bargain. Pro-discrimination ‘religious freedom’ laws are dangerous.

A wave of legislation, introduced in more than two dozen states, would allow people to discriminate against their neighbors. Some, such as the bill enacted in Indiana last week that drew a national outcry and one passed in Arkansas, say individuals can cite their personal religious beliefs to refuse service to a customer or resist a state nondiscrimination law.

Others are more transparent in their effort to discriminate. Legislation being considered in Texas would strip the salaries and pensions of clerks who issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples — even if the Supreme Court strikes down Texas’ marriage ban later this year. In total, there are nearly 100 bills designed to enshrine discrimination in state law.

These bills rationalize injustice by pretending to defend something many of us hold dear. They go against the very principles our nation was founded on, and they have the potential to undo decades of progress toward greater equality.

The important thing to note here is that Cook arrogates to himself to decide how everyone else should live. His enthusiastic support of homosexuality (and God knows what other -ality, because once you agree that buggery is normal there is, as the Brits would say, **ck all that is abnormal) is not shared by at least a significant plurality of Americans and therefore everyone is wrong but him because $$$$. His disdain for the legislative process is just what we’ve come to expect from the left.

Our message, to people around the country and around the world, is this: Apple is open. Open to everyone, regardless of where they come from, what they look like, how they worship or who they love. Regardless of what the law might allow in Indiana or Arkansas, we will never tolerate discrimination.

Men and women have fought and died fighting to protect our country’s founding principles of freedom and equality. We owe it to them, to each other and to our future to continue to fight with our words and our actions to make sure we protect those ideals. The days of segregation and discrimination marked by “Whites Only” signs on shop doors, water fountains and restrooms must remain deep in our past. We must never return to any semblance of that time. America must be a land of opportunity for everyone.

Here he grossly misstates the issue and tries to equate homosexuality, pedophilia, bestiality, necrophilia (he said “who they love,” not me) with racial equality. As the man said, “I don’t need a bumpersticker for you to know I’m black.” The equating of racial equality and social acceptance of sexual deviants is so grotesque that it defies description. Cook knows, because despite his manifest dishonesty I don’t think he’s a freakin moron, that the Indiana RFRA is the same as the federal law with one minor exception. The Indiana law can be used by parties in cases that do not involve the State of Indiana. This is important, because the sexual deviants that Cook thinks are so noble are engaged in an all-out war on religious people to force them to participate in homosexual marriages. The New Mexico Supreme Court held in the Elaine Photography case (apparently there was only one photographer in the entire state of New Mexico and she refused to document a homosexual pairing engaging in a mockery of marriage) that the New Mexico state RFRA was not relevant because the case involved two private parties.

And there is this howler:

I have great reverence for religious freedom. As a child, I was baptized in a Baptist church, and faith has always been an important part of my life. I was never taught, nor do I believe, that religion should be used as an excuse to discriminate.

This is simply an unmitigated series of lies strung together as an anecdote. The Southern Baptist Convention, the largest grouping of Baptist churches, condemns homosexual marriage. This is in line with 2000 years of Christian theology. If Cook’s faith extended much beyond making money he would know this. If he had any respect for religious freedom he would understand the issue and what is at stake.

More to the point, Tim Cook is not only dishonest but he is a flaming hypocrite. Take a look at the list of countries where Apple has a presence. See any nations that engage in discrimination?

No doubt that Microsoft as well as hundreds of other corporations are pro-queer.

But Cook is taking his bigotry to a whole new level by going political with his queer-centric views. And just like Starbucks and their stupid Race Together Cluster-Obama - this is also failing just beautifully.

Mr. Cook, if you're really a man of your word, then shut down Apple, Inc. operations in the 19 states with similar laws. Watch the investors howl and the corporation loses 10-15% of its stock value in a blink of an eye....

Thank You Very Much for posting that!

Cook has no problems with nations that have laws protecting rapists, kidnappers, mass murderers and worse, but when a state like Indiana dares to defend their Constructional Rights?

His glory hole has a seizure.

The Southern Baptist Convention, the largest grouping of Baptist churches, condemns homosexual marriage.

From the article Mr. Cook just said that he was baptized in a Baptist church - not necessarily Southern Baptist church.
I believe the American Baptist church is akin to the PC-USA, Episcopalian, etc (i.e., non-Christian - but a social club), so perhaps he was 'baptized' in one of those churches.

I think that is the crux of the issue - at least for the non-Sodomite supporters of this perversion. The people actually ensnared in this sin might have their consciences coarsened beyond the point of thinking clearly, but the non-Sodomite supporters just perceive that they are reliving the 1960s march against racial discrimination. As the author notes - they are seriously misstating the situation.

You better not be buying Microsoft products or Android products either, because of their Homosexual Agenda that they are very public and overt about!

As for me, I don’t say that I refuse to buy Microsoft or Android or Apple - on this basis - because I’m only buying those products as to whether they are better or worse, in and of themselves. And I buy Apple Products because they are the BEST PRODUCTS and they meet my needs as a customer perfectly!

But some other posters here are are saying that they are buying (or not buying) because of politics. I go to the ballot box and to my conservative legislators for politics, and I get my views acted on there!

Before you talk about the Homosexual Agenda ruining a company ... check out what the Homosexual agenda has done to Microsoft, who has been years ahead of Apple in that regard. Has their homosexual agenda, which has been overt and public caused them problems?

ALSO, what about Android ... has their homosexual agenda, which is overt and public, affected any of the Android phones?!

What I believe is that we should fight it out at the ballot box and with our conservative legislators. These other companies have done the same thing, in public, being very overt, and it hasn’t seemingly affect business.

As for me, I don’t say that I refuse to buy Microsoft or Android or Apple - on this basis - because I’m only buying those products as to whether they are better or worse, in and of themselves. I don’t give a flying rip what Tim Cook does with his genitals, but sure wish he would shut up about it.

I grew up in a time when it was considered extremely impolite to discuss such matters in public.

Tim Cook is an ill-mannered and uncouth jerk.

But, I have preferred Apple products for years. I hope this isn’t a clue that their quality is going to decline with Cook in charge. He is showing questionable judgement in hectoring the public with his personal views.
