61 percent of Floridians oppose requiring colleges and universities to allow concealed weapons on their campuses. 61 percent of Floridians oppose changing Florida law to allow guns in K-12 schools. Only eight percent of Floridians say the state's gun laws should be weakened, compared to 48 percent who would like to see gun laws strengthened, and 39 percent who would like gun laws to remain unchanged.

So, what would you expect the results to show?
'Nough said...
The Florida Moms are entirely too timid. they should propose the wholesale revisions of the Constitution that they are demanding by indirection.
FLORIDUH! Thirty years ago the Brady Bunch thought they had Florida sewed up and would soon be banning handguns in that state.
They failed, just like they failed in California when the VOTERS rejected Prop 15 in 1982.
We love our guns in Florida, but I am not 100% comfortable with this idea yet.
Moms Demand Action? They should change there name to something more catchy, like Moms Impugning Legal Firearms, or MILF for short.

Or better:
Moms with Too Much Time (on their hands to hassle people who work for a living)
Moms Demand Action (like they want everything else handed to them)
Moms Demand Action (because the constitution doesn’t make them FEEL safe and like life is a box of Lucky Charms)
I am not sure what you are not 100% comfortable with?
Are you 100% comfortable with the fact that every incident of school shootings and hundreds of student deaths over the years occurred on 100% of campuses classified as gun free zones, campuses that have rejected our Second Amendment Rights.
Personally here is where I stand: The right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed... is that not the idea you are really not 100% comfortable with.
Now I can hear many saying well what about this, that, or the other thing, they are questions not related to the point, I will not engage with anyone who would change the subject or attempt to make void our Second Amendment Rights using Alinsky's rules of fear and intimidation, the very rules that have been used over and over again to diminish our Rights and destroy our Constitutional Free Republic.
I understand feelings of fear the remedy for such is TRUTH accompanied by the FACTS!
They are blanketing the media. Do a search on “Majority Of Floridians Oppose Guns On Campus And In K-12 Schools Legislation” and see how many websites are, in most cases, uncritically reproducing this bogus poll with no comments allowed.
Next you will be seeing these figures reported as holy writ by the larger outfits, just like the “school shootings” since Sandy Hook b/s.
I agree with you actually. What I meant to say is that while Floridians love their guns, I think that many, while intellectually agreeable with the idea, are still somewhat uncomfortable with the idea. I am in that camp, if asked to vote, I would support it, I can imagine that many otherwise pro-gun types might not.
What these twits don’t understand is that all they do is harm law abiding citizens... My tagline says it all:
I’m sick of it.
I do think the fathers of these twits failed in their duty.
