The libtards have gone ballistic saying “ban Indiana”, pretty laughable no vision and stupid. Focusing on a business that discriminates against someone and going viral would be the way to deal with it, though there as of yet are no businesses to target. Interesting eh?

Yet Chicago businesses openly discriminate against gun owners with signs, affirmed by the city: http://www.dnainfo.com/chicago/20140117/chicago/city-tells-business-owners-put-up-signs-if-they-dont-want-guns-shops

Civil rights violated. No different from banning a member of Pisslam from a shop. Yet hoplophobia rules the cosmopolitan elites hypocrites. Of course, any business can kick you out, it’s their right, they don’t need a reason and if smart won’t give one otherwise face civil rights problem.

In the meantime, when the kool-aiders and ill informed step back from the frothing at the mouth, how about look up the two words JADE HELM. Look it up and perhaps be concerned about unprecedented military operation in 7 states.

You better avoid Microsoft products for the same reason, and if you don’t have any of those products, be sure you don’t get any in the future. Also, you should absolutely avoid any Android phone, too ... if that is your judgement, since they are on the same Homosexual agenda bandwagon!

And mind you, I don’t say that I refuse to buy Microsoft or Android or Apple - on this basis - because I’m only buying those products as to whether they are better or worse, in and of themselves. But those other posters here are are saying that they are buying (or not buying) because of politics. I go to the ballot box and to my conservative legislators for politics, and I get my views acted on there!

No.
This thread is simply about bashing Apple for having the same position as MS, while ignoring that MS has the same position. I definitely do not agree with that position, but blaming one, and excusing and forgetting about the other is just p[lain duplicitous. They are both at fault. This thread is just about bashing Apple. I guess it’s fun for Apple bashers?

Oh, please.

What are you trying to insinuate? That the near universal disgust about this on FR is some sort of double standard because Microsoft did something retarded back in 2005? Did you think if the subject came up that whole TEN YEARS AGO, that you would get some universal praise?

Who cares! This isn’t 2005, This is 2015, and maybe these Apple guys could have saved themselves the pathetic display we have been witnessing by not trying to go on tangents, change the subject, or think that stupid names like “apple hater” as a response to a subject they desperately want to go away.

So in short, minus the whining, you basically don’t want to say anything regarding this for fear of either offending Apple or fear of basically saying on FR that you are totally backing Cook.

Ok. Cool. Nice to have that cleared up.

> More mixing of CEO Tim Cook's reprehensible personal agenda with Apple company policy PING!

What a damn shame. Steve Jobs is spinning in his grave or wherever his soul now resides it's doing 3600RPM. He would never have done this.

I am deeply disappointed that Cook has decided to make what should be his personal, private life a matter of corporate concern, much less corporate policy.

And the value of the company was doing so well.... I can't believe this will be good for the company in the long term.

So I find myself wondering (hoping!) who his successor will be -- I can't tolerate the thought that this crap is only going to get worse.

I live in Arkansas and our legislature has passes a similar law and the hysteria over this amazes me. We have so many problems in this country yet here we are expending untold energy over these types of bills.

Everything that Apple does gets inordinate press coverage. Add Apple to any headline and it quadruples the coverage if not more. Greenpeace did it. Every cause tries to get Apple involved in their cause to get more headlines. The LGBT cause has an insider at Apple. . . which makes it easier for them and they know it.

Forget that Microsoft, Google (Android), Intel, and almost every other high-tech company also did the same thing. . . but put Apple's name on it and everyone gets in a high-dudgeon and starts screaming boycott only about Apple. Apple was just ONE of a dozen companies that signed the document last Friday. . . which included those mentioned above. Yes, Tim Cook is gay. . . and that makes it more high-profiles, . . but the other companies have done it just as much and longer.

Some on here were using this opportunity to hit Apple for using "Chinese slave labor" but Apple actually pays three times more than any other contract manufacturer to workers on its assembly lines and it is seven times the Chinese minimum wage. Unlike any of the other Consumer Electronics makers, Apple has Apple employees monitoring working conditions throughout its supply chain. . . and will (and has) cancel even multi-billion dollar contracts for violators of worker conditions.

Here is a list of the companies doing business with Apple's main contract assembler. . . try and find a company that does NOT use Chinese labor:

Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., Ltd.'s subsidiary FoxConn Technology Group assembles approximately 45% of the consumer electronics in the world according to numerous sources including Wikipedia and the New York Times. Here is a partial list of 52 of FoxConn's customers I've been able to compile from news articles where their contractural relationships were mentioned over the past five years:

Another 45% of the world's electronics are produced by similar contract manufacturers such as Pegatron and others. . . mostly in China. You cannot escape it.

It’s the same thing on Free Republic. Add “Apple” to the headline of this Indiana law ... in a thread on Free Republic, and that thread gets four times as many posts ... LOL ...

The other posts on Free Republic, which report on this issue, but without Apple mentioned ... are actually REALLY DULL THREADS ... :-) ...

It will probably be worse, because it’s ALREADY WORSE with Android and Microsoft! There won’t be a single high tech company around without this being the case, and I can’t see Freepers boycotting the entire Hi Tech industry ... I mean ... how would anyone post here any longer?! ... LOL ...

Yes, you’d think Timmy would have bigger fish to fry than Indiana. How about the entire Muslim world, for example.

What a ridiculous comment! I only pointed out that Microsoft took the same position 10 years ago.

Did I expect “universal praise”?

That’s just a plain dumb comment!

Where was the approbation back then? Where were the calls to boycott Microsoft products? Where were the people wanting to assail the ramparts with their pitchforks and scythes wanting to lynch Steve Balmer? Where were all the cries for people to get rid of their Micorsoft products off their computers?

CRICKETS!

Can you spell huge double-standard?

I thought not.

Apple is actually late to this party. . . having been neutral in most political activities, contrary to the rumors. Steve Jobs kept Apple out of politics and cultural skirmishes. Jobs was far wiser than Tim Cook.

More of your Alinskyite lying mis-representation of what I have written. . . and proof of your Apple Hate mongering Brigade status. You cannot read what I wrote and conclude that I am "totally backing Cook!" you idiot. I have specifically stated I DO NOT. Try to read for comprehension, asshat.
