Indiana Governor: This Is the Same Religious Freedom Law Obama Voted for in Illinois
Weekly Standard ^ | March 29, 2015 | JOHN MCCORMACK

White House doesn't dispute it.

In an appearance on ABC's This Week, Indiana governor Mike Pence defended his state's Religious Freedom Restoration Act by noting that Barack Obama had voted for the same law as an Illinois state senator.

"The Religious Freedom Restoration Act was signed into federal law by President Bill Clinton more than 20 years ago, and it lays out a framework for ensuring that a very high level of scrutiny is given any time government action impinges on the religious liberty of any American," Pence said. "After last year's Hobby Lobby case, Indiana properly brought the same version that then-state senator Barack Obama voted for in Illinois before our legislature."

This Week Host George Stephanoplous later asked White House press secretary Josh Earnest to respond to Pence's claim: "Josh, you just heard the governor say right there this is the same law, he says, that Barack Obama voted for as a state senator back in Illinois."

Earnest didn't dispute the Indiana governor's statement. "Look, if you have to go back two decades to try to justify something that you're doing today, it may raise some question about the wisdom of what you're doing," Earnest said.

Hillary has her own server, fails to hand over e-mails, wipes server clean and hardly anything is mentioned.
A law to protect the 1st amendment which the country was founded on and the media and the left go into drama queen status again.

We all know why.

Because the left and the homosexuals want to take away freedom of religion and force their homosexual agenda onto the people.
This law is a wall for them.

That was before he “evolved,” though.

What used to be true could now be totally false, if the Great Obama evolved in the meantime.

The next step is taxing churches that follow the Bible to death.

“The power to tax is the power to destroy.”

Any church refusing ‘gay marriages’ will be treated like those refusing interracial marriages - they will lose their tax exempt status and be put out of business.

That’s where this is headed.

Nobody will admit it but that’s the point: Shut up the followers of God.

I think Earnest just called his boss an idiot.

Pence isn't, of course, but Baraq sure is.

Apple is against religious freedom.

The NBA is against religious freedom.

The gaming industry is against religious freedom.

All anti-religious bigots wrapped in statist fascism.

Then let’s bring back slavery. How can you justify abolishing slavery if you have to go back almost 150 years to the 13th Amendment?

All the Leftists do is control the Words and they can frame the debate and control the desired emotions of the masses-—EVERY TIME!!!! The dumb Republicans fall for it ALL the time and play DEFENSIVE—every time-—and they will LOSE the debate EVERY TIME.

Take CONTROL of the WORDS——REFRAME the argument!

(Whoever controls the Words, controls the proper perceptions of the masses—Wittgenstein——and the Marxists have used this technique for 70 years or more!!!!)

Fine....it was LBJ who started this business of limiting a churches ability to speak out on political issues in the first place.

Take away the tax exempt status and we'll find out about two things:

1) who is serious about tithing

2) which church(es) is willing to stand up and engage in the marketplace of ideas

been saying the same for some time. The left controls what nice words are put on their agenda, homosexuals are gay
illegals are not undocumented, amnesty is a dream act and the list goes on and on.

Sadly even on here there are some who go along with this like calling them gay instead of homosexuals etc.

I saw Pence on TV and although I like Pence, he needed a sharper response with asked if this means florist and photographers can deny homosexual clients.

Pence didn’t really answer. He said this relates to governments vs individuals, as opposed to disputes between individuals.

I think a better response would be to simply say that this bill will help protect the religious rights of everyone, regardless of their sexual orientation. Lately, the pendulum has swung too far in the direction of protecting newly created special interest groups at the expense of religious freedom, which has been around since our nation’s founding. When the rights of two groups clash, this law will help people bring it to a court of law to ensure the rights of BOTH are considered.

**This Is the Same Religious Freedom Law Obama Voted for in Illinois***

Not the same Obama. That Obama was born in Kenya. News reporters of that time said so! The current Obama was born in Hawaii.
