I think they are saying without any medication intervention, the possibility of developing dementia is greatly increased.
People will chronic immunity deficiency have to become organized and disciplined from that day forward if they want to live a semi normal life.

For the longest time we were told that people won't even know if they have HIV/AIDS until at least six months after infection.

Have they reduced that time?

If not, then most people that get HIV/AIDS will start having their brains negatively impacted even before they know they have it.
