Frankly, I don’t give a crap about Iowa and New Hampshire. I’ll be damned if I let them pick my candidate. If Cruz isn’t on the ballot in my state when it comes, I’ll just effing stay home. I am not going to vote for the Dauphin.

GOP Insiders, yup they have a great record on winning elections and predictions. There's no reason to be afraid of Barack Obama as President, said John McCain during the campaign in which he was trying to persuade people to vote for himself rather than Obama.
This is just one example among hundreds that could be given for the sense of judgment and predictive ability of said GOP insiders.

You’re right. It’s a lost cause. I’m going to support Hillary now. At least she can get elected.

Exactly. Saying they want a nominee who can win is meaningless. Obviously, everyone wants a nominee who can win. If they believe that Cruz cannot win, they should explain why, and do so within the context of how Romney failed to win.

And after eight years in the wilderness, most Republicans want a nominee who can win. Yep.
We've seen that squishy moderates like Dole, McCain and Romney are UNelectable.
Yes. We want a candidate who can win. One who will energize the conservatives, who will attract the disaffected and cynical, who will bring back to the polls those who stayed home in disgust during the last few elections.
We want a CONSERVATIVE.
TED CRUZ FOR PRESIDENT!!!

“insiders” - ie, GOPe. Establishment Elites who think they have a right to rule over the people. No thanks.
“Ted Cruz a polarizing person who is more interested in making headlines than making policy”
“making policy”, invariably in these people’s minds, involves making some rules that reduce our liberty. Again, no thanks.

The insiders are the same mutts who gave us Dole, McCain and Romney. It’s time for the “outsiders” to prevail....and we will!

The “insiders” need to be relegated to the outside. Who really cares what their opinions are today, they have proven themselves wrong soooooooooooooo many times before, their credibility is pretty weak.
They say Cruz has “no chance” because they, like the liberals and many rinos are seriously afraid the he DOES have a huge chance. The voters have had enough and are ready to speak despite what the naysayers expound.

Romney was the guy who could win.
Frankly, I'd rather go down fighting with the guy who can't win than back another one of the insider's "winners".

Politico is the weapon of choice against Conservatives by the GOP-E. Priebus, Boehner, McConnell, Sununu, Rove, etc. all have Mike Allen’s number on speed dial when they need a hit done.

Politico misleading by parsing.
Cruz just needs to show some strength early on if the field is crowded.
Cruz doesn’t need to ‘win’ Iowa at all. He just needs to show some strength. Iowa’s GOP is lined up behind Walker. Paultards aren’t going to give up. Third place would be a strong showing for Cruz, and fourth might be OK too. Even a poor showing wouldn’t take him out. Far from it. As Iowa goes, so goes no one.

this is a great sign for the Cruz campaign. Ted scares the hell out of the anti-America gang just like President Reagan did. And all Ted has to do is stay the course. A man with first principles is a gem after God's own heart.
