...a polarizing person who is more interested in making headlines than making policy.”

This bullshit gets old. Can these idiot drones think for themselves? In a Senate where NO policy has advanced since 2009 because of Reid's majority stranglehold, how is it that Cruz, who is nearly the only person to strike any challenge whatsoever to the far left status quo, devoid of policy. This political class is so freaking stupid.

Maybe its time to take the keys away from the “insiders”.

On every issue, he’s on the side of .... the majority of Americans.

Do you really think that the same country that elected Obama TWICE is going to give a solid win to Cruz?

With all respect, you need to step out of the FR bubble once in a while and get a whiff of what our electorate has become.

What gives me chills? This is eerily similar to how Reagan’s campaign started. Nay Sayers calling ho-hum until they had to get in front of or behind him. And I am talking about Republicans.

I think Harry Reid's announcement is telling. Ted Cruz has a LOT of support.

Everyone fears that by essentially grabbing the vote of the strong church-going crowd and possibly a large fraction of Hispanic voters—not to mention that Cruz will make one Hillary Clinton look really bad in the debates, he could literally reshape American politics like what Ronald Reagan did in 1980.

They can “pump” each other all day long, for all I care.

I’ll write him in, if necessary.

Politico is hardly an unbiased source of Republican news.

““And after eight years in the wilderness, most Republicans want a nominee who can win.””

This is the reason I hate the establishment. They want a candidate who can win, yet every candidate they say can win is losing to Hillary by double digits.

But nothing about a Cruz/Hillary matchup.

To rephrase the old saying from 1812:

“Millions for Ted Cruz, but not one red cent for the RNC.”

GOP-ers need to shuffle back to their country clubs & Beefeater martinis.

CRUZ or Lose!

a bipartisan group of key activists

Last time I checked, BIPARTISAN meant Republicans AND Democrats. Of COURSE the Democrats wouldn’t like ANY Republican.

So - the idiotic and self-serving GOP/RNC would rather serve up LOSERS one after the other like Dole, McCain and Romney ... There has not been a ‘REAL’ Conservative Republican Candidate since Ronald Reagan (whom the GOP/RNC honchos HATED and tried to defeat ...

That’s the one not at risk—Cruz will give amnesty and he will increase H1B. Sad conclusion but if you read the many threads and reports, he’s for border security that we all want but he really does appear to stop there. Not, he’s not a Bush and has bucked the establishment, that is what is irking them.

Politico exists only to help the other side. Remember Fred Thompson and his run? Really, they are just trying to tear down Cruz. There may be some insiders who are on the other side who don’t like him, but I doubt that their “insiders” are an unbiased bunch and doubt they have many real GOP people in the group.

The electability argument was used to give us the designated losers McCain and Romney. They were supposed to be the most electable. Turns out they weren’t. Jebster will be deemed the most electable this time, he’s the designated loser the GOP wants to saddle us with.
The Uniparty does not want us to elect Ted Cruz.
I’ll write him in if necessary.

” reveals grave concerns about Cruz’s electability. And after eight years in the wilderness, most Republicans want a nominee who can win. “

Insiders want a Romney; they think conservatives are ignorant hicks.
They consistently forget Reagan; and at the time said he was too radical and unelectable.
